Dr. Namavari was very knowledgeable and efficient with my eye exam. He explained every step of the process as we went through them. At the end of the appointment he went over all of my results with me while explaining each piece of imaging that was taken. Him and his staff were warm and welcoming. I couldn't recommend his practice more!

I was passed to this doctor as the doctor my PC (concierge doctor) recommended was out of town. I pay cash, not insurance so seeing that I was "easy money" as its cash in hand for this doctor, I did not expect to receive the disrespect I encountered. The first visit was fine, I left happy, paid $280 cash for this with no paperwork or email about my visit. I came back for the follow up exactly 10 days later and to get prescriptions as they are needed now. I paid $250 cash, then spent 6 minutes being shuffled from room to room in a very dismissive manner and when I asked for more questions the doctor minimized my concerns and did not go into explanation about anything. He then shuffled me back out to the waiting room for the receptionist/nurse to write up my prescriptions. As I waited I started to think about the rushed experience and realized I had never asked about a prescription for reading glasses or for the multifocal contacts I came in for. The receptionist/nurse had not come back yet, and I saw the doctor walk by so I flagged him and stated I had thought about 2 questions I forgot to ask. He told me to wait, he had other patients, and he'd be back out in a bit. Then the nurse/receptionist comes out and asks me if she'd like me to write the prescription for contacts with astigmatism. This was the first time in my life (I've worn glasses/contacts for 38 years) anyone has ever mentioned to me that I have astigmatism. I was taken completely aback and said told her that I didn't know I had this what should I do and stated I had more questions for the doctor. She was very nice and understanding but told me I had to wait, which I understood. The doctor came back a few minutes later. This was 45 minutes past my appointment start time and feeling disrespected I was upset. We went to one of the check up rooms, not his office, which felt odd, and he proceeded to attack me telling me that they did nothing to receive this kind of treatment. I was not rude, or loud, or disrespectful. I was visibly upset, he made me very nervous, and I had fallen into a fawn reaction. I started to speak to him about the terms we miscommunicated on, but he gaslight me and tried to make me feel like I was in the wrong when I had clear concerns about the care I received. Not getting through my list of concerns, or even mentioning the multifocals, he said something about not deserving this treatment, again I was not threatening in anyway, I'm 5'4 and a small woman compared to this large man with authority, who was holding my health and wellbeing so cavalierly in his hands. So when he said that again I calmly picked up my belongings, stating that I'd like a refund, wished him a good day, opened the closed door and walked out. I thanked the nurse/receptionist, she was very nice and helpful, and told her that I've requested a refund. She told me the refund procedures and we parted ways, again she was wonderful. My refund notification has been received. Dr. Namavari, Please do not respond to this post. Any response is unwelcomed.

Dr Namavari and the whole staff were honestly great. I hadn't had an eye exam in a couple years and was expecting it to be rushed, but he took his time explaining everything and answering my questions. The equipment seemed really updated, and they showed me the images of my eyes on the screen and actually explained what I was looking at, which I appreciated.

Called to cancel an appointment with 5 days advanced notice. I had read the bad reviews prior and did not feel comfortable moving forward with the practice. I lightly informed the front desk lady that I would have to cancel due to scheduling conflicts, (trying to show kindness and manners) when she responds with, "any cancellation of an appointment can lead to irreversible patient loss..etc etc" I responded with, "okay, sorry"Displaying a soft and calm demeanor in order to not cause an even more uncomfortable escalation. However, this was such an intense cruel way to respond to a new patient that has never canceled or no showed any appointment with this practice. I had just made this appointment today only 2 hours prior. The bad reviews are correct people. I cannot imagine the heartache I would go through if I had gone through with this appointment.

I advise anyone from coming to this clinic. I came in for a clogged tear duct that was infected from a sinus infection.(I used antibiotics for sinus infection)He told me my oil ducts in my eye were clogged. The infection has now spread from my eye, back to my sinus and I'm heading to the ER for extreme neck pain, not to mention my face is swollen. He told me my tears were draining fine. He wanted me to do a $1000 treatment for my clogged oil ducts. Meanwhile, I'm sitting in his office with green pus coming out of MY TEAR DUCT. Im hoping my infection isn't spreading because of the lack of knowledge.

I sought consultation for a severe, acquired retinal injury following cosmetic laser exposure, a case requiring advanced specialized diagnostics (specifically Dark Adaptometry, FAF, and High-Resolution OCT). Initial Assessment & Recommendation: Dr. Namavari's office correctly determined that my condition was outside the doctor's specific area of expertise and that their clinic lacked the necessary diagnostic equipment to confirm the injury. Based on this, they formally recommended referral to a highly specialized academic center, UC Health. Administrative Refusal: When attempting to secure coverage for the recommended UC Health appointment via my insurance (Cigna), a Single Case Agreement (SCA) was required. This agreement necessitates the referring physician (Dr. Namavari's office) to complete a simple form stating why they cannot provide the care. Unethical Blockage: Dr. Namavari's office officially refused to complete the SCA paperwork, stating the reason was that the case was "outside their area of expertise." This refusal is professionally negligent: the lack of expertise and equipment is the exact medical necessity justification required by the insurance company to grant the referral and approve the SCA. Conclusion: This administrative refusal has created a dangerous and unethical barrier, actively preventing me from accessing the medically necessary, specialized care that Dr. Namavari's own office determined was essential. This administrative decision prioritizes avoiding paperwork over patient safety and access to appropriate diagnosis. Furthermore, in their refusal email, the office recommended an alternative specialist that had previously imposed a 14-month wait for a consult--a clearly inadequate and irresponsible recommendation for an urgent, time-sensitive case. I strongly caution patients with complex or specialized needs against seeking care here, as they may find their access to crucial follow-up care severely obstructed.
