I had a great visit. The technician was great. The doctor was quick but also took the time to answer questions. I think my only issue was that I wasn't told that they were doing a retinal scan and that it would be extra on to my visit. It wasn't too much thankfully because of my vision insurance, but I'm living paycheck to paycheck so $10 vs $59 is kinda a big difference. I was only told as I was checking out that I could have held off and not given the scan. I wish I was given the choice, I probably would have held off since I also ended up paying $170 for the glasses themselves.

Due to the fact that I have untreated cataracts, which I was well aware of based on prior diagnosis by Omni Eye Center and a 2nd opinion from UC Health. I needed more time to deal with other health issues and was told waiting a few years was fine by both of these facilities. UC Health especially told me to have my lens prescription updated and deal with eye surgery later. I was told though by the eye specialists at LensCrafters that the updated lenses they make me will probably be no good. I went ahead and ordered them anyway and spent over $500.00. This will be the last time I get glasses from LensCrafters -- I will shop around more next time. But for now I don't feel very good about it all and I hope that despite their negative opinions, I am able to see a little better for about six months as I have quite a bit of reading and paperwork to accomplish at this time including several years of tax work.

I booked an appointment on LensCrafters website (this optometrist office is located inside the LensCrafters) and when I got to the appointment, the employee did many tests on my eyes, as per usual. Then I found out that there is no in-person doctor to do my appointment. The doctor now does everything remotely and would be doing a video conference with me. The employee was sending all my test results and video of my eye scan to the doctor before he was to call. I was then informed that because I have a consistently changing prism in my vision, I have to see an in-person doctor, which apparently is needed for certain kinds of vision issues. I should have been made aware of this when I booked my appointment, they have all my optical history, maybe they should check that for everyone that books an appointment? They wasted way too much of my time. The employee was very nice and I have no issue with her. The issue is with the company doing remote optometrist visits and not being able to fully do the job .

Did not have trial contact pair in stock. Doctor proceeded with supplying the incorrect trial pair and changed the prescription to the incorrect one. Most employees were unhelpful, I was able to call ANOTHER LensCrafters and obtain a still valid prescription which was never tried by the store.

I had an eye test at Lenscrafters. All of the eye imagery went fine. When it came to the actual vision testing, something was screwy. My guess is the chin rest was not used, but i didn't think of that until too late. The doctor was remote. I kept saying that when the doctor shifted lens to compare one to another, I said it was wavy and shifting and warped. I think my head position relative to the big goggle-like viewer was shifting. I asked the tech about it and asked if it was locked. She confirmed it was locked but demonstrated how it still wiggles left and right. My complaints to the remote doctor were ignored. I even said that I didn't have confidence in the exam. That went ignored as well. When I get my glasses, maybe i can tell if something is wrong, but probably not. They likely will be better than my past 3 year old prescription but how accurate is up in the air.
