First time coming here my daughter and I had appointments, service is great here very welcoming, quick and attentive staff. We found our new eye doctor!

Fantastic, very knowledgeable, huge screen explains everything on the computer.\n I would recommend her to anyone.\n You're gonna hear her name for a long time to come way to go, doc.

Dr. Nguyen does excellent exams, explains thoroughly, answers questions patiently. She took excellent care of me when I scratched my cornea & under her care it healed very well. It has been a real blessing to be treated by her & her staff.

Dr. Nguyen and her entire staff are phenomenal! Her eye exam is the most thorough exam my family and I have received. (Dr. Duffy was just as good!) I'm so happy Dr. Nguyen took over because I was worried I wasn't going to find another eye doctor as good as him. I think she might be better!

I would give zero stars if I could... I had an eye exam at this location about two weeks ago and I chose to go here because this is a premier location through my insurance. This was the first time here since I moved to the area a few months ago. The exam itself went smoothly but I was surprised when Dr. Kelly told me that my prescription in both eyes had changed and I had a slight astigmatism. Now, my vision hasn't changed in over 5 years and I've never been told about any astigmatism so I was pretty surprised. Either way, I went with it and ended up ordering a new pair of glasses and, along with the exam, this all cost me close to $500. I was given a few trial contact lenses and I was planning on ordering lenses on my own. All in all, my vision was crisp and clear...during the daytime. A few days later, I was following my boyfriend home and it started to get dark out. Luckily, we were on the phone together because a few minutes into it I realized that I couldn't see anything. All of the taillights, headlights, street lamps, and even lights on my dash were all giant blobs of color and I could barely keep myself together to drive. Thank God I was following my boyfriend so closely because there were multiple times that I almost crashed my car. I had a full blown panic attack with all of this. I went back the very next day and told the doc all of this. She essentially brushed it off like it was no big deal and blamed it on the astigmatism then referred me to a cornea specialist, and honestly she didn't even show a shred of compassion when I explained the situation. She gave me another set of contacts to try and basically sent me on my way. I left that day fully thinking that I was going blind or there was something major going on with my eyes. I tried the new contacts and again, couldn't see a damn thing at night. I called and went back a third time to pick up the glasses and see if there was another contact lens I could try. She gave me another contact brand in the same prescription as the second set, just with a different radial diameter (which doesn't make a difference at all). I decided to just wear the glasses and avoid driving at night because I couldn't even trust my own eyes. The specialist I was referred to didn't have any availability until June so I decided to take time off work and drive an hour to my old eye doctor I went to for years. Lo and behold, they told me nothing was wrong with me at all. They confirmed that my vision actually hasn't changed at all and that this doctor most likely miscalculated the difference between the contact lenses and the glasses, that's why I couldn't see with the contacts she gave me. I talked to my insurance and was told id be able to get a refund for everything. I went back to Ansonia to return the glasses frames and get my refund. The doctor checked me out but even when I explained that the prescription was wrong, I got no apology or any kind of response other than "oh, okay", even when I told her it's best to not blame the patient if they say "almost crashed my car because I couldn't see". Absolutely appalling. It's safe to say that I will never trust another eye doctor and I sure as hell won't be back here. Good luck to anyone that actually gives it a try.

The whole staff at New Insight was highly professional and pleasant. In the ten years I have been a patient at New Insight, my exams have always been on schedule; I haven't had to wait. I appreciate Dr. Duffy's commitment to patients, young and old. He combines his expertise with punctuality, compassion, and excellent customer service. Highly recommend New Insight family.

Dr. Duffy is the best. I moved to Wallingford and still travel to Ansonia to go to him. Kristen is also great, very helpful and patient with me when I try to decide on new frames.

Dr. Nguyen is very knowledgeable, and has modern equipment that made my eye exam easy and painless. Highly recommended!
