I brought my 96-year-old grandmother to the retina specialist, and I really wanted to take a moment to recognize Jose. He was incredibly kind, patient, and genuinely caring. My grandmother walks very slowly and has difficulty hearing, and often people don't have much patience in situations like that--but Jose never once rushed her or made her feel like a burden. He took his time, spoke to her kindly, helped her into her seat, and treated her with so much respect and warmth. It truly meant a lot to our family. He made what could have been a stressful visit feel comfortable and pleasant. Jose is an absolute gem, and his compassion does not go unnoticed.

My husband wanted a second opinion as the first retina specialist in Hartford keep giving him unnecessary treatments. So he decided to go elsewhere and now sees dr haffner and he is grateful for his service. He is professional, attentive, listens and is caring. He takes the time to explain his eye images each and everytime and the anatomy and health of his eye. He doesn't need any treatment! Thank you. And glad we got a second opinion.

If you don't mind waiting a really long time for your appointment, Dr. Haffner is great. I thought when I waited for an hour+ at my first follow up appointment it was just a fluke. Next follow up was 50 min which did not include time to dilate my eyes. My time is just as important. I don't know if it's over booking or what but it's super inconvenient.
