Macular degeneration is not fun. Treatment for it is, if anything, even less fun. But I needed to get it done. I started with Retina Consultants in 2018 and continue to be seen and treated regularly. Because of them, I have been able to preserve eyesight that would certainly have suffered severe harm. The staff are friendly. The doctors are knowledgeable. And they all do everything possible to make treatment as not-unpleasant as possible. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

I am an elderly retired librarian and I suddenly developed a very serious eye infection. In just a few hours, I lost vision in the affected eye. Dr. Rudnick of Retina Consultants saw me immediately even though it was late in the afternoon. He and his helpful staff stayed late to treat me. He did a complete examination including an ultrasound and biopsy. He treated me right away for pain and injected 2 antibiotics into my eyeball and prescribed 4 eyedrops. He saw me again the next day - more antibiotic injections. He has continued to treat me and he got the infection under control. I am regaining sight in the affected eye. I am so pleased with and grateful for the treatment I received. Without Dr. Rudnick's treatment, I would have been permanently blinded in that eye. I highly recommend Retina Consultants and Dr. Rudnick.

An absolutely professional team from start to finish. Dr Martinez is as skilled as they come. He Is a very confident, positive and experienced surgeon. I feel very fortunate having Dr Martinez taking care of my retina issue.

This is my first eye injection place that's referred by my optometrist. So I can't compare. My experience there was decent. They work professionally and courteously. The waiting time wasn't bad like others' reviews. I would encourage you to give it a try.

I experienced a sudden loss of vision around Thanksgiving. Yesterday I saw Retina Consultants in Hartford, Connecticut on Woodland Street. They were able to answer my questions for the first time since the incident occurred. Dr. Martinez was knowledgeable , professional, and courteous, expressing concern over my condition. They were able to answer many questions giving me a real sense of relief and definition.

Retina Consultants is the least empathetic, most unprofessional medical office I have EVER experienced. They dangle the care of CANCER patients over their heads like a carrot on a stick. 3+ hour wait times for aging, ailing people (1:50 appt finally seen at 4:50). Disgusting.

Dr Walter is very Professional and concerned. He tries to work with the Opthalmologist involved to insure they get . the proper care needed for his Retina Patients. Office Staff is pleasant.

I usually go to the Manchester office but the staff in this office were just as pleasant. Note: I had a bit of difficulty finding the office because it's housed in the Wheeler Family Health Center. It's an unremarkable door to the right as you enter Wheeler.
