I absolutely adored mya (the front desk lady) she was so sweet and helpful she actually reminded me of my grand daughter. Her and mary (the manager) helped me get into a nice pair of frames overall had a pleasant experience at this location 10/10 will recommend.
The doctors at this facility seem competent, but the receptionist is extremely unpleasant, likely contributing to the 2.9-star rating. Mya called me two days before my month-long scheduled appointment to ask about my insurance. Unfortunately, they no longer accept my insurance, and she was very rude and unprofessional during the call. Perhaps she should consider a job that doesn't involve interacting with people. On the day of my appointment, she called back, indicating I wasn't removed from the schedule, and was again rude, saying they didn't accept my insurance. When I expressed that it was rude to wait until the last minute after I had an appointment, she apologized and literally hung up on me! Scheduling patients a month in advance shouldn't result in last-minute issues like this. I would give this place no stars, if I could
Avoid this place. They do not even deserve 1 star. Consistently unprofessional from the front desk to the doctor to the sales staff.
Over three months and seven visits, they still failed to deliver a single pair of new, undamaged prescription sunglasses. My order was placed in early December 2025, and as of February 2026 it is still not correctly fulfilled.
Visit 1: Exam and order for lenses in my frames plus prescription sunglasses.
Visit 2: Pickup of new lenses, where I was asked, "Do you have something to do or anywhere to go?" I swear, this sales rep or eye ware tech said this to me. As in, go away while I work. I felt like garbage.
Visit 3: Attempted pickup of sunglasses that were "missing" or "stolen," despite my receiving a pickup message. I was questioned as for why I was there, I responded "I received a message to pick up my sunglasses"
Visit 4: Pickup of sunglasses that were literally burned, and I was asked if I wanted to keep them, no discount or correction to price offered.
Visit 5: Pickup of yet another replacement pair with a clear scuff on the frame around the lenses.
Visit 6: Told it was "take it or leave it" on another damaged pair with an abrasion that would not come off.
Visit 7: My wife had gone in for another rogue text message asking us to go pick up products that were not available.
When I calmly asked for a fair discount on clearly damaged, not-new sunglasses, I was treated rudely and dismissively. An employee actually responded out loud, "That's crazy." For an order over 800 dollars, I was offered only 100 dollars off, despite the repeated errors, damaged product, and months of delay.
I gave them multiple chances to make this right. Instead, I experienced unprofessional behavior, damaged merchandise, and no meaningful attempt to fix the situation. Avoid like the plague.
I had a wonderful experience here! The manager and the front desk associate clearly have a great working relationship, which really shows in how smoothly everything runs. Everyone is professional, friendly, and attentive. The environment is very welcoming and makes you feel comfortable right away. Highly recommend!
Scheduled an appointment for the Shelton office for 2/14. On 1/31, I received a text stating, "Sorry we missed you at your last appointment." Given my appointment was two weeks away, the appointment wasn't missed. I called the office on 2/2, and they stated that I had cancelled the appointment, which is inexplicably inaccurate. This is not the 1st issue that I've had with this company. Last year at this time, my contact lens order and billing was submitted incorrectly three times. Time to look for a new eye doctor. Never going back to this group again.
Their front desk people needs some practice on customer skills. Need some professional doctor's that understand patient not unprofessional that doesn't undertake their patients. My appointment was confirmed and I had received a email confirming I had a appointment, and when I went inside and they said I don't have any appointment, when I showed them my email confirmation with the time that I had a appointment they said I don't have any appointment and it doesn't show on their system. Didn't know how to check me in, I waited 2 hours for my appointment which I was early for. Go to Westport or Fairfield location one much better then this one, there are more understanding and would help you more then here.
I am a Shelton resident; I stopped in with a pair of glasses and asked if they could switch the lenses from one frame to another. They helped me right away, were so friendly, and had everything done in just a few minutes.
You could tell they really cared about what they were doing; very attentive and professional. It's rare to find this kind of genuine customer service these days. Highly recommend !!
Customer service needs some fine tuning at this place. I had no idea Dr prescribed 2 sets of glasses for me she didn't tell me and neither did the woman who fit me for my new glasses. I got my very expensive glasses and I couldn't even see out of them. Took them back and that's when I found out I was suppose to have two sets of glasses. I didn't come here with two sets why do I have them now. I used my insurance so now I can't even go anywhere else
