Accu Vision Center

Last month I needed to find an eye Dr for my 8 year old son and I decided on going with Accu Vision Center in Southington due to good reviews and they were a top selector for our VSP eye care insurance! We were able to get an appt that fit our schedule fairly quickly and the lady who answered the phone was beyond helpful and polite! When we arrived to our appt we were seen right away no more than a 2 minute wait time while she checked us in! Dr McAvoy was wonderful. When we looked at glasses the staff was not pushy at all! Once we found frames we were all set and told we would get a call in about 2 weeks. Our call back was just 3 days later saying they have arrived and we could pick them up! Their hours are wonderful they have some late days which is great for kids and not having to take them out of school to go to an eye appt! I would definitely recommend this office and I will be booking my own appt soon as well!

In general, I have always been nervous around doctors and my vision has never been great. But the whole staff is so kind and gentle. I actually felt comfortable! The exam was thorough and helpful. I will be going back and would recommend this practice to anyone. :)

The staff there is fantastic, the selection of frames are huge, and the examination equipment is state of the art. I have been there for the past 30+ years and I would not trust anyone else with my eyes. They are really the best in town and anywhere in the area. They know you and make you feel like family there. They have my 100% trust.

The fastest eye exam I have ever had! I was out the door with my new glasses ordered in under 45 minutes. I would suggest signing up for vision insurance if you can. I paid next to nothing for the exam and basic frames with prescription!

I have been going here for about 20 years. I have a weird eye issue that Dr. McAvoy is so in tuned to. He and his staff have served us so well, especially since I have "weird eyes". I thank them all for their professionalism, expertise and just being nice folks.

Dr Mcavoy and his staff are very accommodating. They take the time to explain what they are doing and we're super helpful in helping me choose frames that fit my style and budget.

Always in and out, quick but thorough. Front desk lady is so friendly as is the other staff.

Absolutely amazing and professional I was very lucky that they had a cancellation so I was able to get in rather quickly. They were all very kind definitely will recommend to all.
