After I was diagnosed with wet AMD I made an appointment with the Retina Group of New England. I was told that I qualified for a clinical research study. Taking part in the study would be entirely voluntary. I was given all the information needed, they also took all of my health and family history. Since June I have been getting eye injections and my eyesight has already improved! The doctors and staff there are friendly, thoughtful and kind. I am very pleased with the care that I am receiving.

I am 100% happy with my decision to take part in a clinical trial for a medication for wet AMD at the Retina Group of New England. When Dr. Yazdanyar told me that I qualified for a clinical trial for a medication that would give me better results and also fewer injections in the future I was extremely interested and grateful. I did not have a difficult time deciding to join the study because I did not have to resort to searching the Internet to inform myself of any pros and cons of joining. My background is as a scientist, my daughter-in-law is conducting her own clinical trials on a new influenza medication and a long time close friend was coordinator of clinical trials at UC Davis for the first medications available for treating wet AMD. I had so much support and information from them about the importance of clinical trials that I agreed without hesitation to take part in the study. It has been almost 6 months and my vision has improved and soon I will be having longer periods between injections. I urge anyone who is hesitant to join this study to consider the importance of clinical trials. I thank all those people who took part in the very first clinical trials for wet AMD medication. I hope that my participation in this trial will help people further down the line, including family members who may inherit this from me. I really feel it is a privilege to "pay it forward" and also to honor my father who lost his vision to wet AMD because at that time there were no treatments available. Dr. Yazdinyar Is very personable, and I appreciated the clarity and thoroughness of his evaluation and answers to me. I also found the staff, all of the staff that I interacted with, genuinely personable, engaging, and competent. A knowledgeable, responsive, doctor and a quality staff are important to me; I am retired following 40+ years of private practice in a different specialty, and I appreciate the gift of quality staff and physicians. I would have been very fortunate to have this staff working in my office.

My husband had issues with his eye as he lost his site and we were referred to this office, we are so happy that we were. Immediately when you walk into the door, the ladies in the front are so helpful and so caring and thoughtful and kind. Then they took us to our room. Everyone in this office are so Amazing, we are so grateful for all the help and we felt so much better when we left, I recommend them highly,

Dr. Yaz performed a vitrectomy/membrane peel for my macular pucker, which improved my vision tremendously. Because of his expertise and skill, my vision has stabilized and my eye condition is well managed. I highly recommend him.

Doctor CHAUDHRY has been treating both of my eyes for nearly 30 years.! I have had several issues and treatments and he stays on top of my EYE Health. I have low vision at this point, but I'm grateful for the vision I have.
