A Brighter Image

Evan at A Brighter Image has been my go-to for finding unique frames that are a great balance of durable and stylish. He got me hooked on the designer Andy Wolf and helps me find the right size for my face shape and size. I'm so excited for the new glasses and sunglasses we ordered! I tell everyone who compliments my frames to come to A Brighter Image north of DuPont Circle!

Had such a nice experience here! The entire staff was so patient, kind, and really cared about getting a perfect fit/prescription. They were very patient with me as I took a very long time picking out new glasses. Additionally, they have an office DOG (Sweetie!) who made the visit all the more enjoyable. Would recommend!

The staff and providers at A Brighter Image are best in class. I've been going for three years now, and the experience here does not compare to any other optometrist. They are family owned, community based, and obsessed with ensuring all of their customers are fully satisfied with their services and purchases. If you're looking for eye care in DC, this is the only place to go.

My eldest daughter came in today for a contact lens exam and we were welcomed by Toad (the cutest dog ever) with a hug. She was very nervous but the staff were so kind and guided her with great patience and care. They gave her plenty of time to learn how to put on and take off her contacts and she gained confidence after trying it on with the staff's encouragement. Everyone here is really friendly. I had some minor hiccup and misunderstanding related to my insurance but it was resolved quickly. Bonus: Evan gave my youngest daughter a treat to feed Toad and she had a blast!

Fantastic experience. The group behind A Brighter Image is friendly, knowledgeable, and genuine. I love that there's usually a pup lounging at the shop, and my lenses were ready ahead of schedule. They took very careful care of my frames and ensured everything was done properly.

I've been to "A Brighter Image" several times now, and have only had very positive experiences. Everyone is super nice and helpful (including the resident dog) and just generally chilled (i.e., they won't try to sell you the most expensive frames and lenses you don't need, in contrast to some other places I've visited). I've just ordered a pair of new progressive glasses and set of contact lenses, so I look forward to picking these up and giving them a try soon. A big thank you to the entire team, and - as good old Arnie used to say: I'll be back! ;-)

Evan, Romero, and Adam are literally the best. Fantastic selection of high end frames to choose from. This is an individually owned small business, and a NON LUXOTICA shop for anyone who prefers to support small businesses and individual companies instead of commercialized monopolies.
