I just want to offer hope to any who use the Brentwood Rd location. I was an original patient/customer at the Silver Spring location from the time they opened their doors. I truly loved the easy Georgia Ave location and having much less of a wait time than the Rockville store (where I had been before). There were a few "issues" that we dealt with for the first few yrs the store was open. The front desk person was completely ill suited to that greeting position, the doctors came and went...some were great, while others were NOT. The best changes that I saw happened within the last two years of if being opened, which is why I still can't understand why it was closed down. A guy named Josh, who is, happily for you, now at the Brentwood location, came in and made changes that were so smart & savvy that it was felt throughout the whole customer service experience. He moved the person from the front desk position to the back were she no longer offended people, but was helpful and much more joyful. She actually was nice, but just not overtly friendly enough for the front desk, so she often came off gruff/rude when on the phone and while greeting. Not a good first impression. The whole place just got much more welcoming and customer oriented in their dealings. It became a much more pleasant to visit. Josh, himself, gives excellent customer service. He has kindly and patiently helped me via telephone from the Brentwood location several times, until I could get re-established with the Laurel location that will now be my home location. Still frustrated that they let that prime, convenient location at Silver Spring go, but thank goodness for people like Josh, who take their jobs seriously and perform them with dignity and pride (not attitude). I have had nothing but kind, helpful attitudes when dealing with the whole staff on the phone. All have been helpful and NOT at all rude in the least. Based on this, I want to give 5 star rating, but have never actually physically set foot in the store, so held back that one star, just in case. I know with Josh and the team working hard over there it will only keep getting better and better. Take heart people...Brentwood should be looking up!
Gotta give them a three 3.5 actually, up from a negative 1! I had EXACTLY the same experience as others: lazy, rude, young staff, no greeting when I came in, come back later, but it was 6pm and empty, so I wasn't coming back. That was about 9 mons to a year ago, and due to finances, and an insurance change, I found myself back at the cheapest place in town, supposedly. What a great surprise! New guy at counter, young AND polite, instead of rude. Two new staff, yes, young, but apparently well raised, because they were helpful and polite also, I was greeted when I entered and NOT rushed or ignored like I had been twice before! So apparently they listen to complaints and fix them! Great job at Brentwood AB, hope that rude Dr Brown is gone too!
My daughter had an appointment at the Brentwood location. I must say I have never seen so little of staff to be that unprofessional in that location. I've been calling the store to see if her glasses was ready for pick up and get no answer at all. This is during their business hours. How unprofessional is that? To top it off the Hispanic/Indian guy was rushing us to pick out the glasses. Thank God the Doctor was real nice. #Goodcustomerserviceisneeded. I (people)
would like to have Neiman Marcus type of service and not five and dime service.
Rude employees is an understatement. I wasn't greeted when I walked in. The doctor who gave me my eye exam was a heavy set gentlemen and he was very nice and had great conversation for the short time that I was getting my eyes examined. Other than that I could write a whole essay on how rude the rest of the employees we're to me. I was told I would get a call when my glasses arrived however, my glasses were their two days and nobody called me to tell me anything. I eventually decided to call to check on the status of my glasses and they told me that they were here two days ago as if I'm supposed to know that. Overall this location needs a lot of improvement and tightening up. It's ran by a bunch of immature high school children and it's ridiculous.
This America's Best is the worst. Never, ever will I go back. The staff is young so you might expect some unprofessionalism with them. However, Dr. Y.K. Brown is rude, disrespectful and unprofessional. She had a conniption because I filled out my form in BLUE ink!!! And the rest of the appointment went downhill from there!!! Save yourself the trouble, do not go here!!!
My first 2 years were good with this store. I used to visit at Brentwood and then I moved to Connecticut location. But now it seems the customer
is unprofessional. I have been trying for 1 month1/2 to schedule an appointment and it seems they lack of doctor
The people here are LAZY. I came in for a walk in because you can do that there. It was around 5:45 and they close at 7. So I wanted an eye exam. The guy there said that it was to LATE. It was 5:45 and for them it was LATE. I don't recommend this place at all. It's just PATHETIC. :-(
This place is horrible and should not carry the America's Best name. The customer service is horrible, they do not value the importance of phone calls, return calls. I have been waiting for weeks for a call in regards to broken glasses.
