First off, the receptionist did not look up from her desk nor acknowledge me when I walked into the office for my scheduled appointment (10/2/25 @1:15pm). What made matters worse is her telling me that I wasn't in the system, which was nonsense, because I made an appointment three weeks prior, and have phone records of me calling the office to set it up as proof. She was nonchalant and tried to dismiss me having an appointment, but I insisted on her checking the 'system' again. That is when she found THEIR mistake! My information was mixed up with another patient's.....utterly ridiculous! That proves that the office and that 'system' is not only disorganized, but dangerous. I know that human error happens, but in any medical facility/office, that should never be the case. Instead of taking accountability, or apologizing for THEIR mishap, she had the gall to ask if I knew the other person that they mixed my info with! After that whole ordeal, I still didn't get to see the doctor but was RESCHEDULED, (-_-) how ironic. As soon as I walked out of the building, I came to my senses, then canceled the appointment, because I refuse to go through that again! *Dr. Barnes is a good eye doctor. I've seen him a couple of times in the past without any issues with the staff until this receptionist soured the experience. I haven't seen him since his office relocated, and I haven't seen this receptionist before. I don't know if she's a permanent or a temp, or if the office is going through a transition, but I'm not willing to find out. I'll be going elsewhere. I'm not saying that people should be fired, but people should be trained properly for both customer service and data management.*

Dr. Barnes cares about his patients and seeks to provide the best possible eye care. He is knowledge, and dedicated to providing an effective eye plan. Appointments fill fast, so I would definitely recommend to plan accordingly!

I have had a very difficult time getting a response to schedule an appointment for my sister. The staff has been non-responsive, and then when I finally received a response at 10:00 a. m. this morning the staff member was very unprofessional, rude and disrespectful... I have never encountered such... I have left a message requesting a meeting with the doctor, so we'll see what happens.

I didn't have the best experience here, mainly due to the poor customer service from the optical department. I came in for an eye exam and was told I needed new glasses. Unfortunately, the gentleman in charge of helping patients select frames and take measurements was not friendly or welcoming. When it was time to do my measurements, he didn't greet me or my daughter he simply told me to sit down, took the measurements without any explanation, and said he'd let me know when the glasses were ready. When I returned to pick up my glasses, he still didn't greet me or make any effort to engage. I told him I was there to pick up my glasses, he asked for my name, handed them to me, and that was it. He didn't ask me to try them on or check whether they fit properly. There was absolutely no sense of customer care on his part. To be fair, the front desk staff were friendly, but the service from the optical technician was disappointing and unprofessional. Additionally, I had booked this visit specifically to receive a tint waiver for my vehicle due to light sensitivity in my eyes. I had called ahead to confirm that this could be provided after an eye exam. However, after my appointment, Dr. B informed me that they do not provide tint waivers. This was extremely frustrating, as I had scheduled and planned my day around this appointment based on the information I was given. Thankfully, I was later able to receive the tint waiver from another ophthalmologist who properly evaluated my condition and provided the documentation I needed. Also be prepared to wait over an hour waiting to see someone.

I recently had an appointment with Dr.Reginald Barnes, MD/Opthamologist, scheduled for 1:15 p.m. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. After waiting for over an hour and fifteen minutes, I still had not been seen by the doctor. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable. It demonstrates a total disregard for patients' time and well-being. Doctors should prioritize their patients, not pack their waiting rooms to the brim while leaving individuals waiting in frustration. I believe that patient respect and time management are essential aspects of healthcare. Sadly, my experience at this office has led me to decide that I will never return. Healthcare providers should do better to ensure that their practices reflect respect and consideration for those they serve.

This is by far the worst ophthalmologist office I've ever visited. The place is dirty, the staff is rude and unprofessional, and everything looks outdated (I'm from Peru my standards are usually on the low side). They don't use gloves or follow basic hygiene practices, and it feels like no one there cares about patient safety or experience. Avoid this place at all costs.

Dr. Barnes is a good physician but unfortunately I have never waited less than 30 minutes for an appointment, and it's usually longer. Even with morning appointments (scheduled for 9 and 9:30am) I've waited between 30-60 mins in the waiting room. If your insurance allows you other options, I suggest you pick somewhere else. The poor planning on the office's part or whatever the issue is, is unfortunate because it ruins the whole experience and does make the office seem unprofessional, even though he is a good doctor. I don't know why they don't bring on another doctor to help out.

Dr. Barnes is an expert, professional, competent and has an affable personality. He's an outstanding eye surgeon and cares for one in a personable way. He's exemplary and takes time to make an apppropriate diagnosis and remediation plan. My husband and I have been his patient for over 25 years. He's a first class physician. May God bless him. He truly takes care of people's visual needs, and performs valuable services.
