I had a terrible service experience this afternoon, described below, taken from an email I sent to the office manager. I walked out rather than wait what might have been over an hour or more. ---- I left your office this afternoon disappointed and angry at the poor service. I had a 3pm appointment and arrived on time. At 3:20, I asked how much longer the wait would be. The person at the front desk let me know there were 3 providers working and at least one patient ahead. I asked her to translate that to the amount of wait time, which was my question. She could not but she inquired in the back office and then let me know she could not estimate the wait time. With a full-time job waiting for me, I cannot spend an unknown amount of time waiting. Consequently, I let the front desk know I was leaving. If the office had been able to provide a time range, I might have stayed. The fact that you could not suggests either chaos or total disregard for service. Please do not charge me for cancellation - you constructively cancelled my appointment by imposing an unreasonable and unknown wait time. Once I hit send, I am leaving a copy of this email (minus your name) on Google Maps.

I wish I had more stars to give Dr. Melanie Buttross for the incredible cataract surgery she performed on both of my eyes. I went from being extremely nearsighted and unable to read close up to now being able to see far, intermediate, and near, just not tiny print because this no lens you can get that does tiny print without night time halos. Dr. Buttross has been my doctor for 30 years and she is incredibly conscientious and brings her A game to every surgery, no matter how many she's done. I literally had no pain immediately after surgery and was driving the next day after my eyes were no longer dilated. Absolutely amazing result due to her remarkable skills.

My recent cataract surgery was wonderful. Dr. Stroh Ashburn is an excellent surgeon and doctor. He is a warm, caring person who absolutely wants the best for his patients. The surgery and follow up were meticulously planned. Dr. Stroh was able to completely correct my terrible astigmatism with the surgery. I no longer need glasses to drive. It is amazing how clearly I can see now. I highly recommend him to anyone for all of their opthomologist needs.

Dr. Lauren Gavaris is a great eye doctor, very professional, with a steady and comforting hand. I visited hopeful for same-day treatment, and T hey had me diagnosed and treated within 30 minutes, for minor surgery! What a team. Thank you.

Abby has been extremely professional and helpful throughout my contact lens treatment. She has gone above and beyond to help me find the right lenses, and always with a positive and helpful attitude. I highly recommend Abby without reservation.

As I child, my first eye doctor was Dr. Frank P. Costenbader, the father of pediatric ophthalmology. Next, to his colleague Dr. John F. O'Neill. When I aged out of pediatric ophthalmology my parents were referred to Dr. Blackwell S. Bruner who I stayed happily with until Dr. Melanie J. Buttross at Eye Associates of Washington took over his practice. I continue to depend on Dr. Buttross for my eye care and consider that I am in good hands in a tradition that has continued for most of my life.

Great experience here! Very friendly associates and Dr Ashburn III was very knowledgeable and helpful with my exam.
