Brandon is seriously the best. He took his time with me, made sure I felt totally comfortable trying on every single pair, and walked me through how they'd look as actual opticals, not just sunglasses. He also double-checked that my lenses would be filled correctly, which I really appreciated. Super patient, super knowledgeable, and just an all-around great experience. Highly recommend asking for him.
This eyeglass place is the best. I always like Georgetown Optician because they have a large selection of beautiful frames. I got a pair of eyeglasses from here recently by using a prescription provided by another eyeglass place. After getting my new glasses, I encountered the problem of double vision. Georgetown optician helped me find out the prescription I received was wrong and made another pair of glasses based on the correct prescription free of charge. I'm grateful to their assistance. The staff are all nice and friendly.
It also just took them three days to make my new glasses. This is really impressive given that I have high myopia and it usually takes three weeks to get my glasses from other places. I will always come here in the future.
Very stylish frames; very helpful folks working here. Helped me fit an old pair of glasses better to my face even though I had purchased them elsewhere.
I've been a customer of Ben's at Georgetown Optician since 2017, and I just got my third pair of glasses from him. Ben has a fantastic sense of style and a very systematic approach. There's never any pressure, and he really understands color and structure. He guided me to frames I wouldn't have thought would look good on me but turned out great. I highly recommend them!
WARNING! The optometrist is careless, and rude. Doesn't listen to the patient. I 100% regret trusting this person with something as important as my vision. My eyes have hurt more after my visit than before... sales staff is great though, but go elsewhere for check up!
I recently had a contact lens fitting and eye exam by Dr. A. Matini. He was awesome! Great personality and very informative. He found "mistakes" in my previous prescription (no wonder my distance vision was blurry! LOL) and was very helpful in rectifying both my contact lens prescription and eyeglasses. Also, the staff here is super friendly and accommodating, especially Jecky and Brendan. They take the time to ensure a perfect fit, etc. Love the range of frames offered. . .high end, for sure, but you get what you pay for! Highly recommend this location for both the exam and purchase.
Brandon is very helpful and friendly. He helped me to redeem my rewards from buying one year contract lenses and following up if I got the rebate. I definitely will go back again. Thanks Brandon
I quite literally never write reveiws but felt like I had to this time. I see some similar reviews here, but the optometrist was extremely condescending and rude. For context, I went in for an eye exam because my normal eye doctor did not have appointments before I left town. The optometrist recommended that I get contacts for only one eye, despite me wearing contacts in both eyes (-1 in the right, and -.75 in the left) since high school (about 10 years). I told her my concerns, that I would prefer to have contacts in both eyes. She was not receptive at all of my comments and so I decided to go with the prescription she wrote, which was just one contact in just my right eye. Mostly just because I was tired of arguing about it. I spent a week or so trying out the one contact, but could tell my vision was noticeably worse and it was bothering me that only one eye had a contact in. I felt like I was constantly noticing the change to one contact (one eye getting dryer faster). So I scheduled a follow up. I told the optometrist that I noticed my vision was more blurry than before when playing basketball and that I would feel more comfortable having my old prescription back that I've had for 10 years, to which they replied: "basketballs are big, the people are big, and the basket is big, you don't need perfect vision. You are seeing 20/20 with the prescription I wrote you." or something to that affect. She also dismissed my comment about how uncomfortable I felt just having one contact in. She finally relented and had me put a contact in my left eye. I told her I felt like my vision was better in it. She then put up an additional lens and asked how that was. I said it was about the same, and she said "that's the prescription I wrote you originally".
So while I did eventually get the contact in my left eye, it was after I got gaslit for the entire exam by rude and condescending comments. I won't be coming back.
