10/10 experience. Dr. Lauren Gavaris was very nice and professional. She helped me and made me feel at home. I would recommend this place 100%.

I saw Dr Gavaris about removing a growth on my eyelid right along my lashline. I am very anxious about people getting near my eyes and thought I would need light anesthesia to get this removed. I ended up having it removed during my consultation. Dr Gavaris did an truly excellent job removing it while preserving my lashes. I thought I would have a gap but my eye looks great! Kind and skilled doctor.

My opthamologist recommended that I have eyelid surgery, and Dr. Gavaris was on the very short list of surgeons he told me were "excellent." From the initial appointment I had complete trust in Dr. Gavaris. She was very straightforward, took a number of photographs of my eyes, and reviewed older (pre-ptosis) photos of my eyes to get a sense of how they should look. The surgery went off without a hitch, and I am very happy. Cookie Pierson, the Surgical Coordinator, was absolutely fantastic and answered all my pre and post-surgery questions in consultation with Dr. Gavaris. Five stars each for Dr. Gavaris and Cookie - they were really excellent.

Dr. Gavaris was a pleasure to work with. She is highly experienced, professional and compassionate. I had an upper and lower blepharoplasty and am thrilled with the results!! For years, I was unhappy with how my eyes looked as I grew older, now; i start my day with smile!

For many years, I wanted to get rid of the bags under my eyes. When I started asking around, several people highly recommended Dr. Lauren Gavaris. Since she has such an excellent reputation, I was surprised that she didn't have any google reviews. (It may be because "older" people [like me!] are not big google reviewers. It may also be that she's not the type of person to solicit reviews. Regardless, you should not be concerned AT ALL that this is her first google review.) Perhaps I have the advantage of having lived in the DC area for years, or maybe I'm just old (!), but I relied on the personal recommendations from people I trusted, not google (not that there's anything wrong with that ...) I'm very glad I did. I had the surgery to remove the bags under my eyes a few months ago. (I also had an "upper bleph" - a new term for me), and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. The bags are gone! My eyes look completely different, and great, but in a natural way. I'm really glad I made this one concession to vanity and had the surgery. From the initial consultation, through my final appointment today, Dr. Gavaris has been great. She explained everything beforehand (and throughout my time under her care), and made sure I understood the entire process. The surgery was completely uneventful, as was my recovery. Dr. Gavaris takes great pride in her work, and she should, because she is great at what she does. She's also a very nice person who really cares about her patients. When I left, and she said to schedule an appointment if I have any concerns, I know that she truly meant it. If you are considering cosmetic surgery for your eyes, you'll be in great hands (literally) if you choose Dr. Gavaris. (I don't know her personally. I just think that if someone is very good at their job, whatever it is, they deserve to be recognized.)
