Three years after LASIK, I started experiencing eye pain and headaches, and the doctor was incredibly thorough and detail-oriented. He took the time to listen, explained everything clearly, and made me feel at ease. The care was amazing and efficient, and I truly felt I was in great hands. I loved the experience and would highly recommend him.

TLDR; good doctor but bad customer service and money grabbing tactics. Lots of other places around, go elsewhere! The doctor is personable and good at his job. However, they made my life very difficult by refusing to give me my prescription for glasses because it had been 11 weeks since my appointment (during which I had my prescription checked and updated). I didn't get it printed at the time because it hadn't changed, but then broke my glasses and needed the script to get a new pair from my usual online retailer. They said no, you should have gotten the script that day of your appointment! My prescription hadn't changed at the time, so there was no need for me to pay $85 to have them print the script. As everyone knows, most insurances only cover 1 exam a year, so I would have had to pay out of pocket for the redundant visit and then an extra $85 on top of it for the script. Now I'm just stuck with glued together glasses until January. We live in a city, there are a zillion other practices to go to. Find somewhere else that won't hold your prescription for ransom.

Warm and genial, with a friendly and helpful staff, Dr. Luthra is always a pleasure to visit, and his encyclopedic knowledge of eye issues and reassuring demeanor makes every visit stress-free. His treatment of my cataracts and other issues were completely successful. I still see him regularly and highly recommend him.

Dr Luthra and his team are wonderful - he got me in quickly and helped me resolve some recurring eye infection issues, and then when my eyes were better but I could no longer wear contacts, he did lasik/prk for me. I went from a -6 prescription in both eyes to 20/20 vision with no glasses or contacts! I'm delighted with the results and Dr Luthra was extremely responsive any time I reached out during recovery. I absolutely trust him with my eyes!

I have had great experiences with Dr. Luthra. He is thorough, approachable, and explains things cogently. I am especially satisfied with his cataract surgery on both of my eyes. The surgical procedures and the results have been excellent. Based on the information he provided, I decided to go with the multi-focal lenses, which was a wise decision.

Dr. Luthra is an amazing eye doctor! He was able to diagnose and treat an eye issue that other doctors could not, and he has continued to give me follow-up care for almost 2 years. The office staff are wonderful and always helpful. Dr. Luthra is intelligent, caring, and I would recommend him to anyone.

Update to my review based on the doctor's reply-- This doctor once again proved that he does not listen--I had told him that I went to another opthamology practice previously and had an allergic reaction to the eye drops recommended, while he understood what he wrote as a response (completely different). Based on his responses to other reviews, it also seems that he has a history of dismissing reviews and putting the blame back on the patients. He also turns out to be a liar (which he should be reported for) because I did not interact with any staff member, except for paying my dues at the end. I am all in for having a staff member confirm this false claim. I would recommend staying away from him, people. My review-- Very poor listening skills and arrogance for a doctor. My visit to Dr. Luthra was a bad experience. He seemed to a have a very fragile ego and was unnecessarily arrogant and disrespectful in response to the basic questions I had. At the end of my visit, I was trying to understand which eye drops he is recommending and request a note on insurance (I wanted to highlight my previous doctor's note to a pharmacy that helped me get my eye drops fully covered by insurance). I wanted to ask these questions to seek clarity and feel confident in my ability to financially manage my treatment expenses, which is my right as a patient. However, before I could finish (and I tried multiple times), he kept saying that I should not tell him how to do his job, he has had 30 years of experience and has treated 1000s of patients. He also told me that I was welcome to leave and go see them (previous doctor) if I liked. In no way was I questioning his competence, and he would know if only he would let me speak. It is a patient's right to ask follow-up questions. I wish I had read all these other google reviews by other patients about his rude attitude before my visit. His comments was so unnecessary and humiliating. I can confirm other reviews here-- he might be a good doctor, but definitely lacks EQ and listening skills.

Dr. Luthra is amazing! He is so nice and really cares about his patients! He know's a lot too! He was able to diagnose me when my primary eye doctor could not in one visit. He was able to set a course of treatment and ultimately lead me to getting Lasik so the issue would never come back. He made me comfortable and set me at ease all along the long process. I would and have recommended him to my friends and family!
