Good Morning the service was as usual, waiting for a few minutes was not long at all. The representative was very sweet with a smile she check me in. It was a full room one chair left. But still we all will see eye Docter be on are way. see you in six months. God Bless you all, For the time and care you give us to keep are eyes.. Thank you.
Rude receptionist, no greeting, no please or thank you when I arrived. Staff is rough, the doctor was good, I but I did not get any benefit from the vidit. , my friend had to carry me out along with another person to help into he uber, cause I was so dizzy i couldn't walk or see clearly due to the drops in my eyes. This hospital doesn't have wheel chairs The whole experience wasn't good, long wait, nothing.
Going back in time. To the year 2020: Taken by ambulance to ER. DR Admitted me into the hospital for 3 days. This this hospital discharged in 2020 due to vertigo, when I was having a stroke. It never ever occurred to them to perform an MRI with contrast. A simple aspirin would worked but these people only have medical students, not real doctors, the Real doctors come to check on you once!
arrived in the ambulance.
Admitted into hospital. I put in s rooom with no bathroom. The nurses laughing and ignoring me, the cleaning person had to help (God bless him) I will never forget what these people did to me. They discharged me with no reason but vertigo! when I was having a cerebellum stroke ! And they left me dizzy the rest of my life. Stay away from this place!
My brother get the best care at your center. He had a massive stroke over 45 years ago and is always given the most respectful and gentle care by your staff. Thanks for your great service to all patients.
I had a great experience at MedStar Health Ophthalmology and I highly recommend them. I had an appointment with my primary doctor and mentioned an issue with my eye, and they referred me to MedStar Health. They were able to fit me in the same day, and although it was very busy, they kept things moving and kept me updated. Huge shout out to Norma who was incredibly considerate and kept checking in on me to make sure I was being taken care of. Staff routinely checked in on everyone in the waiting room and asked how everyone was doing - offering folks candy and someone who was cold a blanket - which was very thoughtful. The medical care was excellent - I got a very thorough examination and was given a clear explanation and a treatment plan. I'm very happy I went there to get my issue addressed accurately and quickly. Thank you to everyone at the eye clinic for taking such good care of me!
My experience with med star ophthalmologist team was amazing. After years of hearing bad stories about surgery, I must say the team worked very diligently to help me understand my treatment plan. I look forward to surgery. I trust that the Lord is leading my eye doctors. Pray for doctors they work very hard. I hope this helps someone somewhere.
For some reason the Ophthamolgy student didnt see my records for this dat, so she repeated the exam that the Ophthamology Tech had just performed. I thought this was the second part of my visit because the Tech said the Dr. would see me next after the receptionist got me registered to be seen. The student did the eye pressure test again even after i informed her that it was already done by the Tech, instead of looking for the Tech's record she said that the Tech didnt write down a report so she wanted to redo the exam and the pressure test, although I did witness the Tech writing his report of me. The receptionist never called me to register me but the Dr. did see me shortly after the student saw me. The wait was very long, one pt in the eye waiting area was complaining loudly that he had an appt at 0900 but he was still waiting to be seen by a Dr. instead of a student and that's why he had an appt. for a Dr., it was nearly 2p.m. and he had not been seen for his 0900 appt. yet. I let the Student re-evaluate me because I didnt want your faculty retaliating against me like they were apparently retaliating against that man who was complaining about his situation, he even started saying he thought it was because he was a black man that they made him wait so long. Your office needs to do much better on wait times and finding and reviewing records .our culture does not need this type of backwards professionalism / unprofessionalism. The student should have found the record that the Tech wrote once I informed her that the eye pressure test was already done instead of putting me through the agony of another eye pressure test. Maybe the eye clinic/office should be separate from the eye walk in clinic, maybe in the Physicians North or South Towers there should be a Opthalmology office for routine visits but not for walk ins, but keep the walking office separate that way pt.'s with appt.'s won't have to wait so long, over 4 hour wait, because the staff is seeing appt pt.'s and walk in pt.'s , that is way waay too long to wait, and that way walking don't have to wait so long either.
We have been here four times. It is impossible to be seen in a timely manner. Each appointment is about 4 hours long given the inordinate wait times.
I had sudden onset of "floaters" in my eye. Concerned I might have a retinal detachment I immediately went to the eye clinic. They were able to expedite someone to see me and evaluate my condition. Fortunately it was nothing quite so serious, so I was able to go on with my day with peace of mind.
