Vision Unlimited at FIU

September 2025: In the past, I've enjoyed visiting FIU Optical because it was convenient and the staff were always caring and professional. Unfortunately, my recent visits have been the complete opposite. When I arrived for my appointment, there was no greeting or acknowledgment. I had to initiate the conversation to let the staff know I was there for an appointment. While waiting, I overheard Claudia dismiss a customer with a harsh tone, saying "maybe you're confused," instead of taking steps to help her. It was unprofessional and disappointing to witness. When I came back to pick up my lenses, again I wasn't greeted. Claudia was busy with another customer while Natalie was working on her laptop. I let Natalie know I was there for a pickup, but she brushed me off, telling me to wait for Claudia. Even as she packed up to leave, she asked if I had a text to confirm my pickup and, when I said no, simply told me to keep waiting. I ended up waiting 30 minutes for something that took less than two minutes once Claudia assisted me. This has now happened twice, and it makes me not want to return due to the lack of customer service. The doctor here is excellent, but the support staff need additional training on professionalism and patient care.

Spoke to front desk person (sounded like an older lady) on Dec 15 at 12:46 pm and was explaining that I needed to verify that the Trial lenses tha I needed to pickup were the right ones. Yet she refused to confirm what base curvature the trial lenses had despite having them in office. I also asked her to email me my prescription for my glasses and when I told her I hadn't gotten the email she hung up on me. Extremely rude! I guess you pay for.

Rosie is delightful, super helpful and attentive. The quickest i've been in and out of a vision appointment is here. 10/10 recommend!

I honestly loved this location. Not only did they make me feel welcomed but also happy to be there. Lena Lee instantly understood what was happening with my last contacts as soon as ! explained that I was seeing foggy & getting headaches from my last contact lenses that was given to me previously in another location. She took her time explaining to me what was wrong & even talked to me about the Acuvue contacts 8 give me tips. she wears them as-well which is awesome to know someone that wears the same type of contacts that is given to you like that you know if they are actually good & doable. Lena made sure I tried my contacts while being there which is a PLUS since in my last location they had just handed it to me & when I got home & tried them they were way to high for my right eye which gave me crazy headaches. Thank You Lena & your team for making me feel welcomed & taken cared of.

The staff here, especially the gentleman who works with the doctor, were initially nice to me. However, when an issue with my prescription came up, they became combative and impatient with me. Don't expect much support if you have any problems with your frames or lenses, people. Absolutely inexcusable lack of customer service. I'm awaiting the corrected glasses and will update my review accordingly. Such a shame, since they have a good selection of frames.

Had to make some time out of my day to come by here and leave a review because the reality is that my experience at this office was above excellent. I walked in the office and I was immediately attended by the front desk ( Claudia ) . She was very professional and super sweet and apart from her the doctors and also the technicians were very professional. Great service, looking to keep coming back to them.

Everyone there is pretty nice, but it took 3 separate appointments to get my prescription correct. Plus, they didn't update me on shipping delays, so I'd go when they told me the glasses would be there just find out they weren't there... And my glasses came out incorrectly... I cannot tell you how many times I heard. "Hey, we'll call and/or email you to follow up super soon." And then I end up having to call them 2or 3 days later. Not their fault, but also my glasses took over 3 weeks to complete after they initially gave me a completely incorrect prescription (no prism at all) Could've sworn I also asked to put a specific color tint on my glasses. Apparently it's not even on my receipt. If you have typical eyes, probably would be pretty A okay... It took 2 months to get a proper prescription, and not even the lenses I want... If your eyes are needing of more specific help, this spot is surgery with a blunt knife

This was my second time visiting Dr. Lee and I honestly cannot imagine going anywhere else! She is very kind and knowledgeable. She takes the time to really look at your eyes and even explains everything thoroughly. Dr. Lee is, hands down, the best optometrist I have ever had! The staff here are also very kind and the office smells lovely! 10/10 will always recommend
