My family and I have been going to Family Eye Center for almost a decade. The staff is absolutely amazing. From the receptionist, to Maria, Nick, Dr Patel and Dr.G they always make us feel welcome and cared for. I took my Friend to have new glasses for reading, and the Family Eye Center in Davie was the one the Insurance had in network. (Humana Gold Plus).
She didn't want to spend any money, and she only wanted to read and watch TV, regular adult glasses, nothing fancy.
Maria, was who choose the glasses and then she charged us $450 more, saying that was a copayment.
We were thinking, that for this bifocal was the right thing, but it sounded to much.
Next day I took my husband to an optical, and he pay $377 for the glasses with the special formula, with antiscratch, they are progressive and have antiglare, also it has shades that attach with a magnetic frame.
If this is helpful, check places out of the network. They will be a better option for you and your pocket.

I called for an appointment and the receptionist was sweet enough to get me in same day! The office is absolutely beautiful and the staff is top tier. The doctor was extremely thorough and told me things about my eyes that Ive never been aware of by other doctors in the past. They have an amazing assortment of eyeglasses as well and the woman who helped me was spot on with the frame she helped me pick. Thank you for the best service ever. I have found my forever eye place.

Great selection of designer frames. Just picked up the most beautiful pair of Chanel glasses. They are the only place in town that carries Chanel eyewear!! I've been searching everywhere. Added plus is that everyone there is really nice and extremely helpful. The name suits them well, I felt like family! Thank you again to everyone!

This is my second time experience at this eye center.
It takes forever for them to take you inside and examine you. They take you to examination room and keep you sitting inside for 45-60 minutes with no one attending (before eye drops), after eye drops another 20 minutes.
Plan ahead for at least 2 hours visit even with appointment.
Eye examination and doctor is decent.

Beautiful place and amazing friendly staff, Dr Patel was very informative and attentive. I walked in and was seen right away. Maria did an absolute amazing job in helping me make my choice of lens fast and accurate. She was very honest on how the looks of the frame looked on me. Made my decision fast and smooth in under 5 minutes when it has taken me over 2hrs at another eye doctor's place. Thank you to the entire staff, making my experience an amazing one.
