Terrific inventory of top quality eyewear including Tom Ford, Gucci, Chanel, etc., as well as other other brand names. The service is outstanding. Jamie Eisenstein, the Optician and Manager, is one of the nicest, most patient and knowledgeable opticians out there. I came back with 2 pairs of Tom Fords that were bent like pretzels, and her artistry in adjusting them back to their original shape was masterful. Highly recommend Oakland Optical Center and Jamie!

Professional services are offered for our 11yr daughter to find the best-polarized sunglasses with her prescription lenses. Ricardo is one of the gentlemen that we recommend to have all your optical needs addressed. He knows his stuff and will give some very good honest recommendations.

Dr. Schactman and team are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The exams are thorough, the selection of frames is excellent, and the turnaround is timely. I've used Dr. Schactman for annual eye exams as well as when I've needed a Dr for a medical issue with my eyes. They got me in same day when I was having an issue which Dr. Schactman was able to diagnose and resolve.

My experience at Oakland Optical was wonderful. I went there for glasses, and I was amazed at the assortment they have. I had had some old glasses that had fairly small frames, and I wanted to get some new glasses with similar frames. Because that is not necessarily the style now, as the trend is larger frames, I was so very pleasantly surprised to see that they had some. They are extreme knowledgeable. I got very personalized attention as well. I believe their prices are fair. When I went to pick up my new glasses, I complemented them on how the whole process went. They actually ring a bell to acknowledge when someone gives them a compliment. That is how much it means to them to provide wonderful customer service.

Can't remember being told that my contacts lenses were refundable if it's within 30 days. I've always thought there were no refunds or exchanges until my ophthalmologist told me differently. These lenses were in my possession for months. When I returned them today, I was told that the manufacturer may not take the lenses back because how long that I had them, which is understandable but maybe not due to the discoloration of an unopened box, that's lame. The woman assisting me went over the old price. All she said about the new price was that it has risen. My nearly year worth of contacts would be exchanged for only five months worth of contacts. So it seems to be up one hundred percent when it comes to price. Fifteen minutes after leaving, I called to get a clarification about the new amount. The woman that answered said I'll get a call back which didn't happen. A label detailing the refund policy, price (new and old) breakdown on paper for customers would've been more professional as well as a callback. Great place to buy glasses but not contacts.

I arrived in Fort Lauderdale for an 8 day cruise to find I'd missed packed my daily contacts. The staff here on the phone and in person were so wonderfully helpful and understanding. I did a walk in exam with Dr Gregory S and he saw me in minutes. He was professional and super friendly. He fitted and supplied me with contacts. The staff were amazing, dealing with my insurance and sending me away with my prescription and clear instructions for buying my next supply. What a tremendous experience!
