Dr. Nam was a professional, W/ excelant bedside manner. A Dr., who really cares. And their with you every step of the way. Their worth the trip from anywhere .last but definitely not least was wonderful Kai, she'll help you pick out a great pair of frames to go with your new precise lenses. the whole staff and team were extremely patient and truley amazing .i would recamend the whole staff and team. And will recommend to my family and friends. Great Place filled with great people!!!!

My Experience With Optic Nerve Edema -- And Why You Should Always Trust Your Symptoms** I want to share this because it could help someone else avoid what almost happened to me. I went to **South Florida Vision Associates** after noticing **blinking/flickering in one eye**. They dilated my eye, did an exam, and told me **everything looked normal**. I was told to "come back in five months." My concerns were dismissed, and I was basically told that if anything showed up, it would be "trial and error." The next morning my symptoms got worse, so I went for a **second opinion** -- and thank God I did. The second doctor immediately found a **serious case of optic nerve edema** (optic disc swelling). This is **not a minor issue**. According to medical sources, optic nerve edema can be a sign of **increased pressure in or around the brain**, and if untreated, it can lead to **permanent vision loss or blindness**. ### **What Optic Nerve Edema Is** Optic nerve edema (also called papilledema when caused by high brain pressure) is **swelling of the optic nerve**, the cable that carries vision from the eye to the brain. When that nerve swells, it can be a sign of: - increased intracranial pressure or a brain tumor - inflammation - infection - vascular problems - or other serious neurological conditions Medical sources are clear: **this can be a medical emergency** because untreated swelling can permanently damage the optic nerve and cause **partial or complete blindness**. ### **Why This Was Dangerous** Had I trusted the first exam and waited five months, I could have **lost my sight**. Optic nerve edema is not something that should ever be brushed off. It requires **immediate evaluation**, imaging, and treatment to prevent permanent damage. ### **Why I'm Sharing This** Your symptoms matter. Your instincts matter. And your vision is too important to leave in the hands of someone who dismisses you. If something feels wrong -- **get a second opinion.** It might save your eyesight. It saved mine.

Kai Migliore, was patient, polite and positive in helping me find the right eye glasses to fit my face and personality. She recommended the perfect pair that fit my budget as well. Great customer service, with a smile:)

Great service, from the front desk to the specialist Danny who helped me get my glasses. He explained my benefits what was covered and what wasn't. So I was able to make an informed decision. Would highly recommend

The doctors are excellent, as are all who work there. Trying to communicate via phone is not excellent. Dialing 3 for emergency goes to RNA followed by disconnect. My call to appointments was transferred to the "front" and got the same RNA followed by disconnect. This is very frustrating for me and, most likely, for the staff as well.

Everybody here is so helpful and sweet. I want to thank Julie for the amazing service she provided in helping me pick out the perfect glasses and making the experience so much easier
