The new doctor was very nice & personable. I'm sorry I can't remember her name! The tech that did all my preliminary tests was very sweet, friendly, & professional. I don't remember her name, either, but she had glasses, dark long hair, & pretty pink nails! Sydney was also so amazing & took a late lunch just to help me understand my insurance & what would save me the most money. I'd recommend Gulf Coast Vision Center to all my friends & family!

Dr. Cantrell and Amanda are a dream team! Extremely efficient and highly effective. I haven't had a great contact fitting in so long! I am tying this with no squinting and fuzzy vision! The girls out front equally as talented in helping with glasses, contacts and insurance options. I am so pleased with my visit. I live in Niceville but the trip to Fort Walton was very much worth it.

Note that most reviews are for Family Eye Care and Dr. Fregger - both of which no longer at or afiliated with this location. Office staff now that they are GC vision has been super kind and helpful. Unfortunately, I am less confident in my prescription with the new eye doctor (I was a Dr. Fregger patient before the switch). I appreciate the time and patience, but it took no less that 4 visits to tweak my prescription which has been quite consistent over my 30+ years of needing correction. I was fed the "things change when you're over 40" line as well. I was struggling A LOT to do my work, which is largely computer based. Also first visit I was a bit put off by statements made that I had been "overcorrected" previously and that was being found "with a lot of his [Fregger's] patients" and comments about how time consuming coding is. I just had a consult done at another reputable clinic who without knowing my prescription stated my exam showed I need correct as almost identical to my previous prescription. Though the staff and doctor are friendly, I feel less than confident my exam was right for me or even as thorough as prior. Just a frustrating experience in the end.

Not impressed with Dr Cantrell. She seemed upset that I declined to have certain tests performed and made me feel uncomfortable once in her chair. Check in and check out was an hour and forty five minutes. I miss Dr Fregger and will definitely find another optometrist.

Dr. Cantrell and her team were very professional and delightful. The exams were thorough and the whole experience was great. I would recommend the Ft. Walton Beach office to everyone. Rhonda

I broke my glasses frames at work and had to go down to GCVC at lunch. They got me right in. Sydney was so helpful and empathetic to my situation. She found a pair that my lenses would fit in until the new ones arrive. They're awesome.

Great experience. I was experiencing eye pain and they took me as an immediate walk in despite not being a patient of theirs. All staff was friendly and personable. I had antibiotic drops in less than an hour.

Great eye care by Dr Amy Cantrell and her staff. Sidney is awesome at getting new frames and glasses.
