I want to get my eyes checked last week at this location on 49th St. in Hialeah. I wish I could remember the name of the other two staff members they were that were there because everyone was absolutely amazing from beginning to end . Radimir what's the one who finished the final sale and help me look for the perfect frame I have been looking for glasses for over two months now and not finding the frame that I like every time I go somewhere the associates usually just try to get me to buy the most expensive frame that has nothing to do with what I just explain. I want it. I literally told him what I wanted once and he walk me to a small section on the wall that had exactly what I was looking for the entire thing literally took less than five minutes to pick up two frames. I have been another opticals for more than an hour and have walked away with nothing in the last two months. The staff here is super friendly and professional very welcoming. The store is extremely clean. The eye exam was very thorough. I'm so happy that I came here. Can't wait to pick up my glasses. Thank you you Radimir and the rest of the staff that was there on 11/22/25 @ 10:am
I booked an exam with the optometrist for my husband as he was having headaches and hadn't had his eyes checked in over 7 years.
The exam was virtual, meaning we were at Stanton Optical, and the optometrist was on a screen but operating the machinery remotely. He was provided with a glasses prescription, so we went ahead and chose 2 pairs of glasses at Stanton Optical. We discussed upgrading to transitions with the sales lady at the front as my husband would be driving with them, but we decided against them as the cost was quite high. We picked up the 2 pairs of glasses days later, but within a few days of wearing them, he was saying his vision worsened with them and that he could see better without them. We returned to the store, and when my husband explained he was having trouble seeing while driving with the glasses on, the gentleman at the front dismissed his concerns and said he needed to wear them for a week to adjust to them.
After a week, there was no improvement, so we returned and requested another exam. This time, the optometrist was there, and the exam was in person. THEY SAID HIS VISION IS 20/20! He even saw on the optometrist's screen that his vision was documented as 20/20. My husband asked why he was provided with a prescription, and they said the prescription is just to help his eyes focus while at the computer. THIS WAS NEVER EXPLAINED TO US. My husband was initially told he needed glasses, and they provided a written prescription. Even when the sales associate went over the details regarding transition lenses, which are for use outdoors in the sun, they never explained that the glasses they're prescribing him are NOT for outdoor use and are only for computer screens to focus. I'm now reviewing his prescription from 5/25/25 and their explanation that the glasses were for computer use doesn't make sense as the prescription was for single vision-distance, not near-vision, which would be for computer use. (See photos).
We feel we were conned into buying glasses when he didn't really need them. Had they explained his vision is 20/20 and that they could provide an option to help his eyes focus on the computer screen, he could have made the decision to get the glasses or not. This information was withheld, and thus, he was wearing prescription glasses for over 2 weeks at all hours of the day when he actually had perfect vision. He does not work a desk job where these 'focus' glasses may have been helpful, so he was trying to get through physical work days, driving, and business meetings wearing glasses that actually obscured his vision.
What made this experience even more unsettling is how much his prescription changed in 3 weeks. Please see photos of the side by side prescriptions.
This was a terrible experience, and we felt we were taken advantage of.
I was a long term customer of Americas Best until they failed miserably with their rude customer service. I walked into the Stanton Optical in Hialeah's 49 street and was immediately attended to. I needed contact lenses so that I could return to work the next day and Stanton Optical provided a Contact Lenses exam with an Optometrist via video conference. I was so impressed with their efficiency and Stanton Optical provided trial lenses which allowed me to not miss out on work. The following week I saw their Optometrist in person and an even better prescription was given after my feedback from the trial. I am extremely satisfied from the overall experience that Stanton Optical provided and will remain a patron long term. Thumbs up!
3 months and this is what you get a completely useless glasses, they try to blame me talking about i cleaned with chemicals and i only use water for that 500 plus dollars down the drain
I really tried to give this place a chance, with no appointment expect to wait 2 hours. They do your glasses right then and there and that was an extra 15 minutes. I put my glasses on and my right eye ended up being blurry, I told them that it was and they said because I haven't worn glasses it's gonna be that way, but if you go to an actual eye doctor that never ever happens. So I had to come back a week later to replace them. I had an appointment this time and yet I was still seen 30min to an hour later. When everyone was just chitchatting in the back and laughing. What's the point of an appointment? I don't recommend this place at all, huge waste of time and money especially. They say they have the BOGO, which I tried to purchase and it came out to both lenses being $400 and when I said charge me for one it was $200 so there's isn't really any type of deal. If I could get a refund and just never return I would. Read the reviews because they're not wrong. Don't come here for an exam or for your lenses. There's definitely better places.
Radimir was amazing and efficient the appointment took no more than 20 minutes and this included everything from the time I walked in I was greeted and within 5 minutes I was with an optometrist via online which was a great experience due to quickness and the contacts that I received temporary for 5 days were perfect and as my first time wearing contacts I was walked through in depth via videos and a little extra help from Radimir I was able to place them in and out with no issues thank you for the great experience
Terrible optician, my dad needed glasses and they recommended this place to me. Before going I called the day before and spoke to a guy and he told me that the glasses started at $45 and that the eye exam was completely free. Today everything at the place is a lie, and the guy who helped us there was very rude. I told him that that was not what they had told me on the phone and he told me that on the phone it is one thing and there another, apart from the tremendous delay that there was to graduate the vision. In the end I only paid for the eye exam for 69 dollars because I am not going to pay for progressive lenses for 700 dollars or bifocals for 500 when at Ariel Optics a few days ago I bought progressive lenses for 180 dollars. I understand that each business sets its prices but they cannot deceive people by telling false prices to attract people, no wonder the place was empty. If you plan to go there, be prepared with $700 for progressives or $500 for bifocals and lenses that are not even brand name.
