Lovely staff and good location; however their glasses take FOREVER. In office I was told 10 days. When I called to check, I was directed to their national call center and the call center told me it would be a month! I was able to use the prescription they gave me, order a set of glasses online, and received those glasses and I still have not gotten the call that my glasses I ordered through Optimart are ready.
A room filled with female employees, gee, what could go wrong? A lot, actually. My grandmother called a couple days ago and told the lady on the phone, that she doesn't want to get her eyes dilated because she already had her eyes dilated-literally last year- and the lady told my grandmother to talk to the doctor about it when she comes in for her appointment. Cool. We walked in, she filled out her paperwork after a couple of minutes of waiting , my grandmother name was called and we walked on back. Right when we sit down, the woman ( don't recall her name or if she even gave us her name) immediately prepare to dilate my grandmother's eyes, okay, but no...you ladies were already notified that she is NOT going to dilate her eyes (poor communication or they felt like they could bully someone into getting it), it makes her heart rapid and she explained that. Instead of the woman bringing in the doctor to further explain why, the lady (nurse) says out loud "oh, so you're canceling?".... What? (Mind you we only came today to change my grandmother frames because the ones she has now is stabbing and deeply piercing the bridge of her nose). But of course, they don't care because she's refusing to get her eyes dilated, and my grandmother (age 71) asked why she needed to be dilated again when she already had her eyes dilated last year ( the woman explained that patients had to get their eyes dilated every 2 years and the doctor doesn't feel comfortable seeing a patient without dilation ) and of course, with that answer....grandma asked "why not call the other doctor for the medical report since you both are connected " ( because the doctor here made an appointment for my grandma to go to the recommended office literally last year). Now apparently, from the nurses mouth " the doctor doesn't go by another doctor's diagnosis" or something like that....either way it sounds like crap because the other office ( which the doctor here made an appointment for my grandma to go to last year) sent her glasses to this location since we live in the area, this very same location that screwed up her frames (the same frames that's stabbing into her nose bridge). So, y'all doctor is comfortable enough to send her patients to another eye doctor , take another doctor diagnosis for said patients, allow the other office to send in the patient's glasses to get adjusted here (poorly, very poorly $280 down the drain) but this very same doctor don't feel comfortable taking in a patient (that's already in your system) unless said patient accepts dilation. Anyway, now the nurse is raising her voice at a 71 grandmother that's confused by the explanation (no seriously) she was literally raising her voice, so much so, my grandma had to tell her to bring her voice down and she did but the attitude was still there and storms out. My grandmother asked for her medical records from the other office and they gave it to her but not without a snide remark from one of the front desk workers (the big one with glasses..well they all wear glasses...ironically) anyway she practically mentioned that my grandmother should have called and told them that she was not going to get her eyes dilated...but she did and while my grandmother was trying to explain that, the big one walks off mid conversation. Overall, worst experience all they care about is money and pulling a fast one on the elderly and the young. As a woman, it is most definitely necessary to have a man in the office to keep y'all in check because without one this opti-mart is doomed to fail. And that's a fact. Oh, and shout out to the doctor who sat right across from the room where her employee was raising her voice. Amazing leadership, really.
The staff at Opti-mart are very professional and friendly. And being open on Saturdays is a great thing. Happy customer Ben.
Opti Mart 2637 Gulf to Lake HighwayUnit B1, Inverness, Florida 34453 poorest service wanted to charge me for a contact eye exam insurance should pay. Went to Walmart got great service they checked insurance and it was confirmed ok. How many people are being charged by Opti Mart when insurance covers the bill.
The staff in front were very nice, professional, knowledgeable, and very courteous and helpful. The doctor and the assistant were phenomenal. They worked the extra time with me got my eyes corrected right and made me feel right at home. Fantastic experience.
My eyesight had changed, so I was pleased when I had a thorough exam by Dr. Lanier. Eight days later I had my new glasses which were expertly adjusted by one of Opti-Mart's efficient technicians. my only complaint might be the lead time to schedule and receive an exam, which can be attributed to the amount of business due to their excellence. I'll be returning when another exam is due, and I recommend their services to others.
All the staff including Dr. Were amazing! They took the amount of time i needed to choose glasses and even helped picking them out. Definitely recommend.
I referred a few people to this office and the office manager was rude to them. I had been here before and the previous doctor was very nice. I hadn't been there with the new doctor or staff.
