Cole Optics

After visiting several other eyeglass places in Lake City, I was feeling very frustrated and discouraged because I had an outside prescription. Unfortunately, it seemed that bringing a prescription from another doctor--especially from another city--was simply not welcome in many places. My last hope was Cole Optics, located at 621 SW Baya Dr in Lake City, and I'm so glad I gave them a chance. From the moment I walked in, the staff treated me with kindness, respect, and professionalism. They were extremely patient, helped me find the best glasses for my needs, and clearly explained all my options so I could make informed decisions. Even though my prescription was from another doctor, they treated me as if I were their own patient. That level of care and courtesy made all the difference and completely changed my experience. I highly recommend Cole Optics to anyone in need of eye care or glasses. Without a doubt, this is now my go-to place for everything related to my vision. Highly recommended! SH

Dr. Cole is an excellent eye Dr, however, the office staff leaves something to be desired. I had an appointment for 12/18/23 and was just sent a text on 12/15/23 telling me they no longer take my insurance. I've had the same school board insurance forever, but was never informed that they were billing my medical instead of the vision. My medical did change and they were aware of this. It would have been nice to know this information before now. The cost was significantly higher than I had previously paid. I had to cancel my appointment as I had not planned on such a high copay. Now I am without contacts and can't be seen by an in network Dr until well after the first of the year. Pretty crummy way to do do do business in my opinion

The staff there are so friendly. They are very patient with every walks of life. My kids are ADHD and my oldest has autism. They are very sweet and understanding with her. Now the doctor is awesome and amazing. He remembers something about everyone from the last time he saw you. I have found my diamond and I hope you all to him out .

Dr. Cole was extremely professional and informative about what was taking place. His entire team kept me informed during my short wait. I've had 2 other eye exams and Dr. Cole went above and beyond in my opinion. Dr. Cole stated to him, his services are normal...truly an amazing visit.

Cole Optics is the way to go. I was very skeptical about going to any eye doctor because I have been at the same eye doctor for 20 plus years but they are down in Daytona Beach. I have very very bad eyes. Without correction lenses I would be legally blind. Cole Optics made me feel comfortable and they are very very friendly. They go out of their way to make sure you're not spending money you don't have to spend. They are awesome with all different ages. My son is 9 and has been with Cole Optics since he was 7. My daughter (4) Has eye problems so she sees a specialist, But when she needs glasses we bring the prescription to Cole Optics and we always get the glasses through them. They are super friendly and always helpful. If you are up in the air about an eye doctor I would HIGHLY Recommend giving Cole Optics a try. I am sure you will not regret it! On a side note, I have never waited longer than 15 minutes to see the doctor, Even when my sons Eyes got dialated we were only in the office for a total of 1 hour. most of that time we were waiting for his eyes to dialate!

Dr Cole is awesome, very thorough exam and takes time to listen to concerns. Office staff's customer service leaves much to be desired. I and my family are not first time customers. I, along, with my mother had appointments on the same date. My mother received her contact lenses a few weeks later, I did not. My parent called to inquire and was told I had not called to confirm that lenses fit properly. I was slightly confused, as these were the same brand as I was previously prescribed AND my mom had not called to confirm that she had proper fitting either but had received her lenses...again the same brand as mine. I was then told that the lenses would be ordered and should arrive in a few weeks, which was last year (2016). Weeks pass, no call, no lenses. My mom again called the office 1/11/17. This time she was told lenses were on back order and would be in next week. Mom called today (I am out of state in college) and informed lenses would be in next week and that a tracking number for the delivery had been given. Wait! So last week when we were told they'd be in this week there was no actual tracking number then? My family and I are frustrated, but mainly disappointed. A simple phone call would've gone a long way, common courtesy. It's been over 2 1/2 months.

Doctor Cole is amazing. I've been using him for over 20 years. He found a bleeder in my eye, and had been monitoring all this time. He no longer takes our blue cross vision insurance even with a zero out of pocket plan. I hate going to Pearle in Gainesville. It's a real shame!

Very attentive, and friendly staff. Which is rare in the lake city area. Never had a great experience and welp I'll be bringing my family here for great eye care thank you for such a great experience.
