My initial appointment was with Dr. Logan. Her expertise is 5 Star. She takes the time to listen to your concerns regarding your eyesight and after appropriate tests are done, she discusses solutions with you. I love her warm spirit, kind hearted and phenomenal bedside manners. I also want to shed light on her phenomenal staff, Shekeda, LaMika and Cassidy!!! All highly professional ladies. Their customer service is also off the charts!! I have visited there a couple of times when my glasses arrived. There are times they maybe short staffed, however, the ladies work well together. They keep a cool composure and they treat the customers with the utmost respect. Kudos to all of you ladies. Great customer service is something I look forward to when Im choosing to be a client or customer. My Eye Doctor is the place to make your optometry care your home. See you next time ladies and thank you all for your professionalism, care, concern for others and your hard work. It does not go unnoticed.

I would give them zero stars if I could. NOT RECOMMENDED! 1. I went for my exam and told Dr. Ness what I wanted. He said he understood and could do it that way (weaker prescription than called for). 2. Went to get my glasses, they were regular strength not what he told me he would make for me as I requested. I tried them on, immediately said they are not what I asked for so please remake them as I asked. The girl said "No, we can't do that. You have to try them at home for 10 days first. I said, "No, I don't want them, they clearly aren't what I asked for. She said, "No. The policy is you HAVE TO take them home and try them for 10 days 1st." I agreed under protest. WASTED TRIP #1. 3. Took them back after 10 days, they said, "NO. You have to make another appointment before we re-make them." I said, "So why didn't you TELL me that? She just said "bring them back in when you have your appointment"! WASTED TRIP #2 4. Came back, Dr. Ness said, "No, you didn't have to try them for 10 days, the girl told you wrong." I told him about how they wasted a whole trip then, and that's an hour drive! I then asked him, "Why didn't you make the prescription how I asked?" He said, "Well THAT CAN'T BE DONE!" I said, "so why did you AGREE to do it during my exam?!" He said, I guess I didn't hear you. I said, "You clearly heard me. I told you TWICE and both times you agreed." He says, "My bad..." - as if that is a good excuse. Certainly not a proper apology. 5. I had to then come back YET AGAIN to get my NEW prescription for bifocals this time instead because he said that's the only way he could give me close to what I want. While I'm at it, I get them to give me new lenses from my old glasses because I paid for a scratch guarantee. So they ordered me new lenses. WASTED TRIP #3 6. Came back to get the new lenses. The girl (same one who told me incorrectly that I had to try the other lenses 10 days (which the dr. said was not true) went to get them and said they were the WRONG SIZE! I said, "But the guy measured them last time I came in! "So sorry!" WASTED TRIP #4! Now I will have to come back at least once more for WASTED TRIP #5. While there I asked the (same) girl to fix my nose pieces, she said she'd give me new ones. I waited, she gave them back to me, they fit better so I went on my way. Got 30 minutes away, I felt they were dirty so pulled them off to clean them, looked at them to see where the dirt was...only to discover SHE HAD SCRATCHED BOTH LENSES when putting the nose pieces in! All in all I will have made not 1, not 2, but 6 trips to get a new pair of glasses, because A) the doctor made the prescription different from what he said he would, and B) the guy who took my scratched lens replacement order incorrectly measured or wrote down wrong the size of the lenses! And the girl scratched both my old lenses that I still wear! Once I finally - if ever! - get my scratched lenses repaired, I will NEVER GO BACK TO THIS OFFICE EVER AGAIN! And I recommend you never go there either.

My father in law had an appointment with Dr. Berry that was scheduled for 8/27. My wife made the appointment over a month ago for her elderly father and had arranged her schedule to be there. The day before his appointment, he received a phone call at 4:55pm from their office letting me know that they were canceling his appointment. The person he spoke with didn't offer a solid reason for the cancellation, and they didn't seem to care that this was a major inconvenience for him and his daughter. Both of their time is valuable, and it's frustrating to have an appointment canceled at the last minute with little to no explanation. A good doctor's office should show respect for their patients' time and commitments. I understand that things come up, but a day-of cancellation is unprofessional and reflects poorly on the practice's organization and communication. He won't be rescheduling and will be taking his business elsewhere. I can't recommend a practice that doesn't respect its patients enough to give them adequate notice of a cancellation. If I could give them zero stars I would. After reading the reviews it seems to be a very standard practice. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere.

My experience was good. Dr. Ness was very pleasant and Cassidy, who took me back and put drops in, etc., was an absolute delight. We should all be so cheerful.

VERY difficult to deal with and NON-RESPONSIVE. After using them for years from myself in my 4 children, I could not get a simple refill on a contact prescription even after 8 phone calls across 4 days plus emails, website questions ... finally went to 1-800-CONTACTS and we got what we needed within a few minutes at half the price. Tried Leesburg and Charlottesville (since my son is at UVA) and couldn't get any help at all. Their whole business model is outdated and difficult to deal with. 1-800-CONTACTS was WAY easier.

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at [My Eye Dr]. I had an appointment scheduled for 10:40 AM, which I arrived for on time, only to be informed that my appointment had been canceled. This was not a one-time error; I was told that the system had canceled my appointment. No phone call asking me to confirm my appointment just a email telling me my appointment is canceled and I would be considered a walk-in appointment instead. This kind of mismanagement is unacceptable. As a patient, I expect my appointments to be honored, especially when I make the effort to arrive punctually. The lack of communication and accountability from the office staff has caused significant inconvenience and frustration. I urge the management to review their appointment scheduling system and ensure that such mistakes do not occur in the future. Patients deserve better reliability and respect for their time. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO DO BUSINESS!!!!

I had an appointment at 9 AM this morning, I showed up 15 minutes ahead of time, the front desk said because I cannot have my eyes dilated. They will refuse to see me,! I called my transportation home and the next I know is they are calling me in the back because they decided to take me after all, I get in the back and I have to wait 45 minutes to see the doctor,!! I walked out angry, shaking, and furious. My ride showed up and I had to leave, they said the doctor has other appointments, I Had an appointment at 9 AM. It is after 10 now ,! I will never go to that building again

Worst eye doctor/optometrist ever! Doesn't bother connecting with patients when they aren't staffed to handle appointments booked months in advance. Only have certain optometrists that can examine children and don't bother to tell you when had the appointments made months in advance. Don't bother to call patients to communicate anything ahead of time. They don't leave voicemails. They don't know how to examine patients at all. They allow children to incorrectly read lines off the chart and then they say they got everything correct. They can't read eye pressure properly. The place is just here for the insurance money and not patient care or proper eye health.
