Capstone Eye Associates - Lutz

The staff at Pearle Vision in Lutz is super friendly and very professional. I enjoyed my visit overall. I feel like the staff could do a little better with overall discussion of how eyes have changed from one visit to the next. The glass/frame sales associate was very helpful and patient. She listened as I expressed my concerns on price, type and color of frames. She was also understanding when it came to costs for options, and deciding on a prescription. Overall, it was a great visit.

I brought my son in for an eye exam back in September. The plan was for him to get both contacts and glasses, but since he's 11 and had never worn contacts before, he was a little nervous. We told the doctor we would skip the contact fitting for that day and just move forward with the glasses. Partway through the exam, my son changed his mind and decided he wanted to be brave and try the contacts after all. I let the doctor know, but they told me the fitting couldn't be done that day. I said that was fine and asked if we could do the fitting when I returned in December for my own appointment. They said yes, that wouldn't be a problem. Fast forward to today--while confirming my appointment, I also checked to make sure I could bring my son in for his fitting. I spoke with Alicia, the manager, and explained what I had been told. She informed me that because more than 60 days had passed, I would now have to pay a $75 refraction fee in addition to the $40 contact fitting fee. I told her I had never been informed of any refraction fee and that I was specifically told bringing him in December was fine. Her tone was passive-aggressive and condescending throughout the conversation. I requested to speak with Chris, the district manager, and am currently waiting for his call. At this point, I will not be returning to Pearle Vision. I will provide an update once I hear from Chris--assuming I receive a call.

Upon arrival! The staff was very friendly and helpful. However, after my exam, I was handed off to a sales rep. The sales rep appear to be in training in which I was okay with her customer. But, I felt the glasses and prescription lenses turn into and up sales. She offered choices but did not know the cost. Then some of the choices appeared to be just shear BS. For ie..... I was told the basic transition lens ..... did not offer transitions when I was in my car.... If I want the best offer of transition lens I would have to up grade to the advance transition lens. But she did not know the difference in cost. She left to get confirmation of cost. When she returned I was told there is no difference in cost. Okay I ready to close the deal...... one more thing if you pay with a credit card you going to charge 3% on top of the taxes. Customer are not supposed to be charged extra when use visa credit card transaction. Any merchants that practice this method of pass visa fees to the customer is suppose to be reported to visa. I know it is employees who makes this rule of up-charge for the use of credit card transactions. It is the owner's or corporation. Well let's just say the lost a $600 sale today.

I had a wonderful experience at Pearle Vision. The team was extremely professional, kind, and attentive throughout my visit. Their attention to detail was outstanding--the eye exam and doctor's check-up were very thorough, and the staff took great care in helping me choose the perfect pair of glasses. I truly felt supported and well taken care of. Highly recommend Pearle Vision for their detailed, professional service and exceptional care!

I have been a patient of this office for over 2 years and have had nothing but wonderful experiences, until recently. At my exam the doctor asked if I wanted to try a new brand of contact lenses and I agreed. After trialing them I decided they were not for me. I called the office and asked to fill my prescription but with the old lenses brand (on file). I was told I must come in for a refitting, no exceptions. The day of my second appointment, I was made to wait nearly 40 minutes before seeing the doctor. I was told later that appointments were double booked. The entire appointment was for me to read two lines of text and the doctor to confirm I wanted the old lenses. Two hours of my day was spent on this. Additionally, while I was waiting to place my order another customer called in with the same predicament, wanting their old lenses brand. It was very apparent by the demeanor of the staff that the customer was very rude and demanding an exception; which was granted. I have placed my final order with this company and will be going elsewhere in the future.

The staff came across as disengaged, unfriendly, and unwelcoming. It felt as though they were trying to sell me a used car. I interacted with four team members, and not one offered a smile or introduced themselves. I even had to ask for the salesperson's name because she never identified herself something that's Sales 101. A little friendliness would go a long way.

From start to finish I had a great experience. The entire staff was kind and professional. The doctor answered all my questions and gave me several options for my aging eyes.

I have been with the same provider or 5+ years unfortunately that office closed and I had to find a new provider . I randomly chose this office and they have exceeded my expectations . The staff was awesome and office was clean. I will definitely be back and recommend to others
