I really enjoyed my experience here for my eye care. My glasses are perfect, and they don't hurt around my eyes even when I wear them for a long time. The doctor was very knowledgeable, and everyone was very kind, helpful, and accommodating. One of the staff members even helped me fix my posture when working in front of the computer. Applying their advice has been incredibly helpful for my eyes, neck, and back.

Great experience from start to finish. The doctor really listened to my concerns, asked thoughtful questions, and took the time to explain everything clearly. I never felt rushed and appreciated being included in the discussion about my options. The office staff was friendly and helpful as well. Highly recommend!

I had such a great experience with the staff and doctor at the Clarkson Eye Care location in Wesley Chapel. I felt so welcomed, like I was a part of their family. I will continue to get my eye exams with them!

First time here. Had a very thorough and complete eyeglass AND hard contact lens exam; the most precise I have had in 10 years. I opted for the retina photography as well, since I am chronologically gifted! Dr. Diaz is wonderful and I highly recommend her.

I went here for about 2 years for both my exam and buying eyeglasses. The exam was excellent but I have only seen the previous optometrist, so this review focuses on the eyeglass buying experience and product. My experience with the exam may not be relevant. TLDR summary: It's a big box store and expectations need to be calibrated to that. Out of the big box stores, I would say their staff is generally more knowledgeable and provides better service. You need to be proactive about pointing things out or asking questions. Although the staff is more knowledgeable, they may not be knowledgeable enough to say, recommend a premium anti reflective coating or an anti fatigue lens like Essilor Eyezen. Pros: -Compared to other big box stores, the staff seem more knowledgeable. I generally don't have concerns with their staff adjusting my glasses. -If there is a defect with the glasses lens, they will take care of it. One of my lenses had crazing and they replaced it free of charge. This was likely a manufacturing defect since the issue popped up within the first 2 weeks I had the glasses. The replacement did not craze after 2 years. -I was able to bear with the glasses for 2 years. Cons: TLDR summary: The anti-reflective (AR) coating they gave me was garbage. If you drive at night or have a high prescription, ask if they have a premium AR coating comparable to Essilor Crizal. If you are Asian or have a low nose bridge and high cheek bones, they don't carry true Asian Fit brands. In fairness most if not all big box stores probably suffer from these problems. The entire staff turned over in 2 years. -Whatever anti reflective coating they gave me was garbage. I thought my vision was getting much worse because the light from oncoming traffic was blinding. Additionally I would get random and painful glare from things like reflections on my phone screen. If you wear your glasses for any night driving or have a high minus prescription, ask if they have a premium anti reflective coating comparable to the Essilor Crizal coating. (But it will be much more expensive. If it costs a lot and doesn't perform as well as the Essilor coating, you may be better off getting the Essilor one.) My pair before the Clarkson glasses and the pair afterwards have the Essilor Crizal coating. After 6 years of wear and visibly peeling coatings, my pair before Clarkson had some glare issues but much less than the 2 year old Clarkson pair. My new pair after Clarkson has no glare issues. In fairness my husband got his old glasses from Eyeglass World and he reported the same issue with night driving. -They don't carry true Asian Fit frames (frames for low nose bridge and high cheeks). They do have conventional brands with Asian Fit models, but those are just created by retrofitting an existing frame with different nose pads. This does not effectively solve typical Asian fit issues. Brands like TC Charton design the frame geometry for Asian Fit, which is more effective in solving Asian Fit issues. If you have a low nose bridge and high cheek bones you may want to ask if you can bring your own frame and then buy it directly from the brand. In fairness I am not aware of any big box store that sells true Asian Fit frames. -The entire staff, including the optometrist, pretty much turned over in 2 years. This is the actual reason I got my eye exam elsewhere this year. I ended up returning to my former, out-of-state provider for the eyeglasses because thus far I have found no comparison to them. After only a few days of wearing my new glasses, I realized how horrible the AR coating on the Clarkson glasses were. This is what influenced me to write this review. Admittedly the new glasses cost way more than the Clarkson pair but as someone who wears my glasses all day and has a high prescription, the better quality product is worth it.
