Today I searched for a 5-star optometrist in my area and came across Lakes Eye Center. I had the opportunity to meet with Dr. Adrien and the entire staff, and I was very impressed with the experience.
Everyone in the office was extremely professional, welcoming, and thorough throughout every step of the examination and procedures. The team took their time to explain everything clearly and made sure I felt comfortable during the entire visit.
I would definitely recommend this office to anyone in the area, especially if you need a last-minute appointment, as I did. I searched online and was able to schedule an appointment right away, which was incredibly convenient.
They also have a great selection of eyewear, with many stylish frames that are modern and on trend.
This is definitely a go-to place for eye care and eyewear. Highly recommended!

I have been coming to this eye doctor's office for many years, even though it's far from my home--and that alone says everything. The doctor is exceptional, and the entire staff is truly outstanding.
Today was a perfect example of why I continue to come back. After spending more than an hour in traffic, I arrived only to realize that the office had already closed. Despite that, Danny--who was already getting ready to leave--got out of her car to help me without hesitation. Lizbeth, who consistently provides the best customer service and is always so kind and attentive, also came out and took my measurements.
That level of care, professionalism, and genuine kindness is rare. They go above and beyond for their patients every single time, and it never goes unnoticed. I truly cannot recommend this place enough. If you're looking for the best eye care with the best people, this is it.

She is very focused and thorough, carefully analyzing the causes of any condition and clearly explaining each symptom. The Dr is fantastic and informative! Front desk is very nice and answers any question you may have. Carmen (I think her name was) is not great. She is the last person you see when it comes to choosing your frames and paying. 3 years ago, she gave me and my husband inaccurate information and charged us a medical specialty under my medical insurance instead of using my vision insurance. This time around, she was trying to do the same thing even though I was told by front desk the complete opposite. I was supposed to be charged my co pay from my visual insurance which was $49 each but "Carmen" wanted to charge me $129 each!! That's a huge difference. Luckily I was able to call my insurance right there while she spoke to someone in billing (I think) and I was charged the original co payment of $49 that front desk gave me. Always ask and call your insurance !! She also forgot to give us eye protection before walking out as our eyes were dilated. I would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for the last interaction.

I've been a patient at this Eye Center since they were in their first office in Miami Lakes with Dr Moran back in 1976, and continue to go here now with the kind and professional advice from Dr Perez. I trust her 100% and can not say enough good things about their personnel as a whole. Everybody is there to help you and make you feel cared and relax, all very professional and they keep their schedules on time. They respect your time and I love that.
