COMPLETE SCAM -- Disrespectful to Teens, Misleading Prices, and Manipulative Staff (Employee: Emily) Let me tell you about my horrible experience at America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses. I'm 17 years old and I walked in by myself, just trying to get the advertised deal of 2 pairs of glasses for $89.95 -- something they proudly display everywhere. I've been here before with my dad a few years ago, and everything was fine then. This time, I figured I could handle it myself -- big mistake. I asked about the deal, and the employee, Emily, immediately told me I couldn't get it because I'm a minor. That alone made no sense, because nowhere in the ad does it say you have to be 18. I was confused, so I asked her a simple question: "What if I were 18? Would the price be $89.95 then?" Instead of just answering me respectfully, she hit me with this sarcastic, judgmental response: "We don't do anything illegal here, honey. And now that you told me your age, you can't lie to me about it ." Excuse me? I never said I was going to lie or do anything illegal. I was just asking a question. I left feeling insulted and treated like I was trying to pull something shady when I was simply trying to understand the pricing. To make things worse, they wanted to charge me $250 -- just because I'm 17 years old. That's nearly three times the price of the advertised deal. It felt like they were trying to take advantage of me being young and alone without a parent. So I came back the next day with my dad. He immediately called them out for the ridiculous price and said it made no sense for a child to pay that much. The staff gave more vague excuses and we ended up calling corporate. Corporate confirmed it was "their policy" -- but there was never a sign in the store saying the deal was 18+. My dad told them straight up: "Then why the hell don't you put a sign that says 18 and over? That's misleading." And he's 100% right. No warning, no fine print, no nothing. Just a bait-and-switch tactic to either get more money from kids or pressure their parents into paying more. Emily's attitude was rude, condescending, and completely unprofessional. And the store itself? Shady, misleading, and clearly willing to exploit minors. If you're under 18, stay far away from this place unless you want to be overcharged and disrespected. And if you're a parent, be warned -- this place will try to scam your kid if they walk in alone. I will never come back here again. Ever. AND I HAVE EVIDENCE THAT IT DOES NOT SAY YOU HAVE TO BE 18+

I took my son 17 yrs old to get the special offer $89 advertised all over the place and the store manager her name Emile claimed since he is not 18 yrs old they can not accept him for that price. There is no where say that policy anywhere on their advertisements. This is ridiculous knowing he came same store 4 yrs ago and got that same deal back then was $79. This is false advertisements.

Waiting for over two weeks for my wife's glasses to have lenses fitted. They told me two weeks and that has passed. I go to the store and the say I need to call and speak to the manager Janice. I call the store multiple times and nobody answers the phone. Horrible communication and customer service!

Sky Lake, North Miami. The girl on the front desk, the one who makes the appointments was super nice. There was a sales person ( short hair lady) who was very rude not with me but with other people while I was waiting. It seems like she doesn't like her job or she is just not good with people. The place offers good deal on glasses and eye exam, however it doesn't means you don't treat people with respect, it is not a free service. This happened on the North Miami, Sky Lake location.

Horrible experience. Was at North Miami Beach/Skylake location at 5:20 pm. Gentleman at front desk was rude and extremely unhelpful. I have my daughter's glasses that broke. He advised that the only way glasses could be fixed is if same frames are used. He also happened to share that frames, conveniently, are out of stock and discontinued and the ONLY way to fix the glasses is to spend hundreds on a completely new pair. I asked if he could look up the other pair of glasses my daughter has to see if those frames could be used. He said the EXACT same frames had to be used. You're telling me that in order to fix the spring in my daughter's frames I have to spend hundreds on a completely new pair of glasses?!?! Scam is 1,000% correct. Ridiculous. Do not recommend. Go elsewhere!

Wonderful staff who are always willing to double check info! Brenda was nice and welcoming. Doctor was professional and friendly and did great with kids. Will come back

I was very happy with my complete experience, from the front desk the eye exam and especially the young man that helped pick out my glasses to picking up and being fitted. I have encouraged my friends and family to get their glasses there. Thank you for a great experience and great glasses..love them.
