Dr. Karp has been seeing my elderly mother, who has been dealing with melanoma in the eye and eye lid, for over a year. Dr. Karp is a true expert and extremely knowledgeable and creative with the procedures. She has also been very conscience of my mom being a bit of a scardy cat. We have endless appreciation and love for her.

Dr. Karp has operated on my eyes twice, and countless family members and friends, all of whom were extremely satisfied with the procedures and results. She takes the time to explain the procedures to you, and makes you very comfortable and at ease before and during the procedures. My vision has never been better, and I only have Dr. Karp to thank. She is the proverbial medical professional that genuinely cares about her patients. I only wish I could add a few more stars to her rating, as Dr. Karp is truly in a class of her own. My father walked in to Dr. Karp office with a cancerous tumor in his eye, in 4 months she was able to cure the tumor with a simple procedure using eye drops. She was extremely welcoming and took her time explaining everything, and made a difficult and scary process comforting and less intimidating. The tumor started the size of a finger nail, and shrank to the size of a tip of a needle. I can not recommend her and her wonderful team. My father begged me to write this review for him; as he does not stop raving about how much he appreciates the help of Dr. Karp, and he wants everyone to be aware of it.

Dr. Karp is great. She takes her time with each patient. The only down side is the waiting time. Be ready to wait a couple of hours, but It is worth waiting for the great care she provides. The staff is also very friendly.

The doctor is great but DO NOT come here thinking that your appointment time means a thing! You WILL wait up to 5-6 hours!! I had to drive 5 hours to get here then wait 4 hours and drive all the way home because I had to work the next day!! Horrible situation and whoever allows this overbooking should be fired!! My time is just as important as the doctors!!

Carol L Karp, M.D, is an expert in the management of ocular surface tumors and anterior segment surgery. In the late 1990s, she pioneered the use of interferon for the treatment of ocular surface squamous neoplasia. She designed protocols to study the drug in patients with ocular surface tumors curing them of their cancer without surgery. She has continued to explore novel methods to treat surface cancers. In addition, she has innovated the use of high-resolution anterior segment OCT which has helped to revolutionize advances in the management of ocular surface tumors. A leader in the area of ocular surface oncology, her research has produced numerous landmark articles and her work has helped to change the standard of care of these lesions.
