I really had a great experience at Center for Excellence in Eye Care. The staff, nurses, and Dr. Victoria were kind and attentive. Dr. Victoria answered all my questions, and I feel like she guided me very thoughtfully. My only issue with my appointment was the delay between when I initially had my eye concern, and when they were able to see me, which was about a month after. But overall I really liked this office and doctor.

This place is a nightmare. I walked out of there because they wanted me to pay my Medicare deductible. There were other patients hearing my argument and agreeing with me that this is not acceptable. First of all, Medicare needs to approve the amount and it is impossible if you have not rendered services and submitted them. Secondly, I have visited various doctors before this visit, which most likely will be submitting their charges before you do. Therefore, deductible will probably be taken out of those charges first. This place is a factory. They don't care if you have a problem or not. I left without being seen or my doctor knowing exactly what was going on. But, if she works there, then she is part of the culprit. There are so many ophthalmologist in South Florida that I don't need to endure a money hungry business with uncaring doctors. Will go back to the best Bascom Palmer. I will consider reporting them to my State Medical Board, the State's Department of Health/Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA), the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Office of Inspector General (OIG). As well as The Joint Commission and my insurance company (Medicare/AARP).

Recently I had my first experience with Center for Excellence in Eye Care. I've been visiting ophthamologists in Miami for the past 40 years. This is the best yet for me. I arrived a few minutes early. Reception staff was friendly and checked me in within a few minutes, and I waited for a short time in the pleasant waiting area. Ashley, the doctors' medical assistant, examined my eyes a few minutes after sitting down. She took her time and explained everything she was doing and the questions she asked. Dr Kasner is exceptional. No drama. He explained the entire medical exam and saved me from spending a few hundred bucks extra after asking him about other stuff I thought I may need to do. BTW, I am 80 years old and have had cataract surgery in both eyes.

I had surgery with Dr Tattler and I have perfect vision. He was professional kind and his price for the surgery was very fair. I recommend him and the center highly!

Never put your eye care in the hands of these people. I had cataract surgery approximately a year and a half ago. It was never explained to me that the lens they were putting in my eye, would only allow me to see far. Unfortunately, it took away close to 100% of my eyesight to see close. Their response was just go buy some readers. I literally need to put my readers on, just so I can see the food I'm eating. I am on the computer all day for my business and needless to say I cannot see anything unless I put my readers on. The good news is it gave me the ability to see far better than I have in years. The bad news is being able to see far is already deteriorating. I have tried to get in touch with someone in that office that can possibly help me. Apparently, the gentleman's name that runs the place is Mike and he has felt no need to return not one of my calls. I have left at least 20 messages. They made a big mistake with my eye surgery and clearly feel no need to take responsibility and or even have a conversation with me. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS.

I was scheduled for an appointment at the West Kendall Baptist office location today, Monday, July 21, 2025, at 8:40 am. I arrived at the office at 8:25 a.m., and it was CLOSED. A funny thing is that when I walked in, the security guard said, 'You're here to see the eye doctor?' And I responded, "Yes." He then said, "I think they are closed, but go ahead and check just in case." I proceeded upstairs and found another patient waiting in the hallway for the office to open. I waited until 9:00 am, and the office never opened. I spoke to the other patient, and he was scheduled for 8:30 am. Both of us received a confirmation call on Friday, July 18th, advising us of our appointment. At NO point in time did anyone from the office call, email, or text us to advise that they needed to cancel or reschedule the appointment due to the office being closed. This is unprofessional and demonstrates a lack of detail, communication, and responsibility on the part of the office. I will NOT reschedule with them. How ironic, the name of the practice is "Center of Excellence in Eye Care"; you are far from excellence. If you call the aforementioned excellence, then you are in a world of trouble. I hope this review is read not only by the office manager or administrator but also by the owners or partners of this practice.
