What a wonderful experience at Elite Eye Care Specialists! No more glasses for me Dr. Analisa Arosemena is an outstanding ophthalmologist and surgeon. From my very first visit, she was incredibly caring, patient, and knowledgeable. As a patient preparing for eye surgery with a light-adjustable lens, she took the time to explain every step of the procedure clearly and thoroughly, which truly put me at ease and gave me complete confidence in my decision. It has truly been a blessing to have chosen Dr. Arosemena. I am extremely grateful for her expertise, compassion, and dedication to her patients.

On her birthday my 82 year old mother was referred to Dr Taher in January after seeing 5 optometrists. Payment was made of $250 for the appointment and he claims to be able to do this routine surgery in 15 mins that he has done countless times before. As this was a cash paid surgery we followed all the steps to provide the needful and in under a week no calls or emails form Ms Claudia to update us on next steps. Many calls were placed on hold and disconnected and finally en email from Mavel tells us surgery in 2 days at $6900. Payment to Dr Taher $3700 and $3200 for their clinic of choice located 30 minutes away. We accepted and drove to the doctor's office for payment on day of surgery $3500 was paid as negotiated and remaining balance due at the clinic in Coral Gables. The lobby is where the receptionist numbs the eyes and asks me if I was advised of payment due, upon which I provide my card to pay $3200 balance and was Instead presented with a marked up invoice of $5125. Clearly believing there was a clerical error and Ms Claudia will remedy this, but suffice to say nothing was ever done. NOBODY CARED about my 82 year old mother who has lost her depth perception and keeps falling. Everyone just wanted to line their pockets and extort an elderly woman. Claudia claims an email was sent to her 5pm day prior but up until our 3pm surgery next day, she failed to read her emails, and we don't know if such ghost emails exists. This is how business should NEVER be conducted. My elderly mother returned home after 5 hours of this lost day as we were stuck in traffic. Shame on the Elite Eye Care office, 2 weeks have since passed and still nobody had acknowledged us, not a call back not an email reply. All that we ask is that you refund the $250 initial visit in order to go somewhere else to fix a problem you should have fixed and displayed your DUTY OF CARE towards your patient. I am sure you would not treat your own mother this way. As a professional I have given you ample time to call back and discuss this responsibly. It is very unkind to hear Ms Claudia blaming others as she "scrambled" to book the clinic, we are your clients and not third class citizens and you have the responsibility to give us the compassion needed. DO NOT EXTORT your clients with nearly a 10 thousand surgery and call yourself elite. The subpar service at this office should not be acceptable to any physician. I will be obligated to alert my optometrist who referred us on how poorly we were handled. Should you do the right thing and refund $250 initial fee I will convince my 82 year old mother that you actually cared and perhaps her life experience is not as she believes that you tried to pull the wool over her eyes. A very dissatisfied encounter

I had a great experience with all the staff and especially Dr. Taher today during my visit. Great doctor who listens to you and detailed with assessment, explanation and plan of care. De Arosemena is very professional ,and knowledgeable, I loved her. Gina is so caring, and professional. Everyone at the office is very supportive, always available to ask any questions, they all make you feel at home. Best experience ever!!!

The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and attentive taking the time to explain every step of the procedure and answer my questions thoroughly. What really sets Elite Eyecare Specialist apart is their commitment to personalized care. They truly went above and beyond to ensure I got exactly what I needed. After being a lifelong wearer of glasses I am posting this review without the need of any eyewear. Thank you to my surgeon Analisa Arosemena and her staff. I wish I had done this earlier.

I have received some adequate care here, but on two consecutive visits, the staff lost track of the testing it had done for me, and confused the directions that they had given me about wearing versus not wearing my contact lenses for each visit. On one visit, the doctor had to repeat an entire battery of tests which I had just taken with one of their staff - because she said there was no record of it in in the system! Following their directions to leave my contacts out and return for another visit would have delayed my surgery date, so I simply got up and walked out. I certainly do not trust them to perform cataract and lens replacement surgery! If they can't manage rudimentary recordkeeping, there's no way I am trusting them with my eyesight.
