WENT TO SEE DR. PEREZ BLANCO, 9/30/2019 at University Of Miami health/Bascom Palmer. I wanted to know if I was a candidate for lasik surgery. I paid $375.00 cash, I waited over an hour and I was escorted to an examining room. she was arrogant and never spoke or explain what she was doing did not want to engage in any conversation about what she was doing . she examine me while she spoke to a student in the examining room and said no you can't have lasik you have cataracts. horrendous experience. I put it behind me. Today 8/28/2020 I received a bill $369.00 a facility charge a year after.

I have been examined by a ton of eye doctors in my life. Dr. Perez Blanco was the first eye doc to diagnose that I needed to see an eye specialist for an 'urgent condition' which she wrote down after she was done examining me. She scribbled a script (referral) which got misplaced when I had an car accident which took 4 weeks for docs to diagnose the injury I had; meantime with excruciating pain I managed to make an appointment with an eye specialist but need the referral from doctor Blanco's office. Her office is not computerized. They don't even fax or send emails. Their office hours are bankers office, don't open Thursday's, and when I get there after work, their office is locked shut by 4 pm sometimes earlier. From the beginning when I got a pair of glasses I wasn't happy with the cheap frames insurance covered, frames I liked were over $350, the skeptic lady assisting said with a smirk in her face, I'd never be able to afford. Im unhappy with the reading of my glasses. I can read with them but everything is extremely blurry around me. So I've shucked this pair of glasses and wasted a co-pay. Forget about calling the doctor. The staff says she's too busy and they aren't receptive in taking a message.

Horrible. I went to see Dr. Perez-Blanco for a LASIK consultation. I left without any information, insight, or medical opinion whatsoever. She expressed the need to see past years prescriptions in order to measure the growth of the eye. A valid point. But I asked if there was anything we could do today, anything she could tell me at all based on the tests they conducted on me that day. She didn't say anything. She also came off very rude. Barely facing me at all and on the computer the whole time. Even ignoring my questions sometimes. Also after I did send her past years prescriptions. I sent her one from the current year (2018) and 2 years prior (2016.) She obviously didn't carefully read my email because she replied saying I need past years prescriptions what good is a prescription from 2 months ago. It was there. I replied saying Dr. I sent you 2 prescriptions one from 2018 and one from 2016. Never replied. Very unprofessional and rude. Also gives Lasik consultations but doesn't perform Lasik. That doesn't make much sense. I recommend looking for another Dr.

I went to see OD Perez Blanco today. The team at Bascom Palmer are doing everything right. Valet parking is complimentary, little or no waiting from one tech to the other. Bathrooms were spotless, friendly attendant at the bathroom. OD Perez Blanco took the time to review my case and explained in extreme detail my eyes condition, answered all of my questions, made sure to make me aware of the situation, very professional.

This is the second visit I had with Dr. Mariacarmen Perez Blanco. She took her time to test my vision and explain the different issues going on with both my eyes. My whole experience with all the staff and technicians I interacted was First Class! Rex
