The only reason i am giving this place a 1 star is because it wouldn't let me do a review without it. I had called weeks prior to my appointment to make my daughter an eye appointment, I asked if they took her insurance and gave them all my information they said yes. the day of the appointment as my husband is on his way to take my daughter they call me and tell me they made a mistake and they actually do not take her insurance, my daughter had already taken the morning off from school and this is something they could've called me the day prior or before the day of the appointment when we were already on our way. I do not recommend this place at all.
This review is on my dad's behalf. My dad was operated by Dr Raja who did a great job on his tiny eyes that left him with almost no swelling. His experience was wonderful and it was thanks to miss Suyapa who took care of him and guided him throughout the whole process. She's the best.
Try your best to avoid this place.
The parking lot is shared by several practices and is absolutely packed. I arrived 30 minutes before my appointment but it took me over 1 hour to find parking on an early Wed morning. When I asked them to hold the appointment for me, I was told abruptly that parking is my own problem and I have to line up after all those who could check in before me. When I asked if there were other places to park, all they had to say was "I don't know" and "I am not sure"--they didn't even bother to say "no." There was absolutely no will to help.
The nurses and doctors were all in a huge rush. I don't mean efficiency--just rushy with mistakes. I had to do my vision filed test twice because the device failed--and they adjusted the position of the device parts in the middle of the test. I highly doubt the accuracy of my results. The doctor spent 4 minutes with me after multiple new patient exams.
I asked for a copy of the test results at checkout, only to be told that they don't do that (despite what the doctor said). The front desk said they only make results available on their online patient portal. But that's not ture--there is nothing in my patient portal other than the information I entered during pre-registration. I submitted a medical record request. I haven't seen anything so far. I called and waited in line for a while, and then they terminated the call saying all their staff are currently occupied. This happend in early morning, around noon, and late afternoon.
Just avoid this place!
I had a very disappointing experience with Dr. Patricia Tare at MedEye Associates. I went in because of a small lump on my eyelid that had been bothering me for weeks. When I arrived, the staff gave me several tests without explaining what they were for, it seemed like they were just routine exams done for everyone, even though I clearly told them multiple times that I was there because of the lump. Since the staff are not doctors, I expected Dr. Tare to review my concern, but when she finally came in, she didn't seem to know why I was there and assumed it was just for a routine check-up. She briefly said the lump was the beginning of a stye, but instead of focusing on that, she immediately started pushing a preventive laser procedure for what she called a "narrow channel" in my eye. When I explained that another doctor had recently told me the procedure wasn't necessary yet but that I should keep monitoring, she became visibly upset and told me to just go to that doctor instead, saying it was "my problem what I do with my body." I left with the same eyelid issue, no clear answers, and still had to pay for the visit. Very disappointing experience, and I worry about how elderly patients might feel pressured in this office.
Horrible place!!!! At least 50 people waiting in a room. Looks like this place is focus on medicare patients since the vast majority are elderly people. 2 hours waiting just to check for a little stuff in the eye. Not enough parking available. Never again!!!!
If I could leave zero stars I would. I am FORTUNATE that my appt was cancelled after waiting for months to see Dr. Sanjay Smith. I was originally seeing an optometrist but being a glaucoma patient since 2008 and seeing another doctor in the same office, Dr. Dzelzkslns for 7 years. I got a phone call before my appt saying 'your doctor isn't taking any new appts with your insurance'. I took my AvMed insurance and went elsewhere. I don't have healthy eyes so reading the reviews it's unfortunate for me and others getting turned away. I have another insurance now (whew).
DO NOT waste your time at this place it is a factory. WITH an appointment, I waited 2 and a half hours ! waiting room is jam packed with elderly patients its just disgraceful. Last appointment they called me the day before to tell me i needed another referral. Got referral then the next scheduled appointment they call me the same morning of the appt to tell me the doctor wont be there and to reschedule. That was it.......looking for new doctor. unable to pick ZERO stars !
I looked at the other reviews and was perplexed as my experience was excellent. I arrived very early as it was getting ready to rain. The parking IS a problem....not enough spaces for the amount of offices in the complex.
However, I found a space.
The office staff was polite and welcoming. I was called in within 5 minutes of my scheduled time. I was seen by two different techs who performed various tests and took a thorough evaluation of my medical history and medications.
Dr. Brown was very attentive and listened to my concerns. He understood what I needed and made the referral for laser treatment for a problem with my implanted lens.
From start to finish, the entire process only took an hour. The various other patients who were in the waiting room seemed to be seen on time and left the office with a positive experience.
My only issue is the parking situation which, truthfully, is not the fault of the practice....they are simply renting office space from a developer who overbuilt office space for the number of parking spaces.
