Visionworks London Square

Excellent doctor and staff! I was helped fast and with courtesy. Thank you Those are the frames I selected for my new glasses, oh by the way they accepted my insurance and it helped me with the cost of obtaining my new glasses!

I've been going to VisionWorks at London Square for years and, up until now, I've never had any issues. The staff has always been accommodating and friendly, and the doctors have consistently been thorough and professional during my visits. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to this location. When I recently called to schedule an appointment, I was informed that the Optometrist, Peter Gomez, has implemented a new policy requiring all patients to undergo the $39 Retinal Screening Exam. In the past, this exam was optional. However, starting January 2026, Mr. Gomez has made the exam mandatory for every patient at THIS location. With the already high costs associated with vision care, exams, frames, contact lenses, etc. it's frustrating to have an additional nearly $40 charge added as a REQUIREMENT rather than a CHOICE. What makes this more disappointing is that other VisionWorks locations do NOT require this exam; it remains optional elsewhere. I strongly recommend confirming all charges before booking and considering other locations if you prefer transparency and flexibility in your care decisions. VisionWorks on S Dixie Hwy with Dr. Eric Payne doesn't require the exam and tack on additional charges! I recommend this location if you're within the area.

Amazing experience at vision works. Top-notch customer service. The manager is fabulous and she is super patient. Highly recommend this particular location. Very nice assortment of glasses to pick from as well.

Awful customer service this year. Took my wife for her annual appointment. She needed new classes. When she got them, she still could not see with them. The guy in front who thought he knew better than the eye doctor. Started his snake oil pitch of telling her she needed to choose between seeing far or near, she was supposed to be getting progressive lenses that allows for both. No attempt to correct the problem. Asked for a refund and left.

What a disappointment! My son had a 10:30 am appointment for an eye exam, and he was still waiting an hour and a half later. When I asked the front desk what's going on, she just tells me "the doctor takes her time." Like, okay, but what about the patient's time? It seems like they need to work on managing their appointments. Very, very disappointed in the lack of punctuality and respect for patients' time.

I don't want to explain too much so I will resume my experience with my feelings. I went to the office for eye examination and vision test in order to get new glasses. I got the prescription for my glasses and they made the order for getting them in a couple of weeks but the fact is: when I left the office that day I was already seeing better. Thanks.
