If I could give zero stars I would...
Confirmed with my insurance that eyeglass world does take my vision plan and scheduled an appointment. Upon arrival for my appointment. The receptionist told me she doesn't see any vision plan. So I left and had my eye exam done at another place 30 minutes out of the way. I confirm again with my insurance, and called this eyeglass world, but again said they do not take my vision plan. Went to buy frames at this eyeglass world because they do have a nice selection, but was not helped at all and even had to flag someone down just to pay. I asked again if someone could help look up my insurance, and Mark, told me if I didn't know what the exact vision plan name was he couldn't look it up. So I drove to the place 30 minutes away and had my lenses put in there. The place 30 minutes out of the way had no problems finding my vision plan and when I finally talked to Maria, she had no problems finding my vision plan either.
Found a crack in my frames and had to take them back to get a replacement. Mark told me he would have a replacement ment in 3 to 5 business days. I go back 11 days later and no one knows what's going on, turns out Mark did not find the frames or inform me there was an issue. Paula did find a replacement frame, and I waited another week, only to have my lenses chipped and scratched when they were put in the new frames. Paula Said she would remake the lenses exactly how they were because I gave her all the information and prescription of the other lenses. I wait another week. When I go to pick up my glasses today, and it is blurry. I asked them if they made sure everything was the same and they said yes, so I took it to the place 30 minutes away and had them measure the lenses. 3 out of 4 of my prescription numbers were a quarter off and they were made out of cheap poly and didn't even edge polish. I commented about both issues at eyeglass world and they said that's how it was. So now I am having my lenses we made at the other place 30 minutes away. I wasted 6 weeks for these glasses and I have yet to wear them. I am officially done with giving eyeglass world anymore chances.
I had such a wonderful experience at Eyeglass World in Mount Dora. I was in a bind because my new contacts weren't going to arrive in time for a weekend full of activities, and Mark went above and beyond to help me out. He made sure I had what I needed the same day, and thanks to him I'm able to enjoy my plans without any stress. I truly appreciate his kindness and outstanding customer service. Thank you, Mark!
Had my eye exam today with Dr. Meeks. I have to say it was the smoothest and easiest appointment that I have had ever. She is very personable and knowledgeable. Definitely recommend booking an exam with her.

Today, I visited the Mount Dora location for my eye exam and to get new glasses and sunglasses. The staff and eye doctor were friendly and helpful, however I was not satisfied with my experience attempting to purchase glasses and sunglasses using my insurance benefits. I was there for over two hours and the problem still was not resolved. I was told it would be several days before they can attempt to fix the problem and allow me to order my glasses through Eyeglass World. My vision insurance covers 2 pairs of glasses every 12 months. I last received glasses in early 2024. The associate helping me with the glasses (who was very kind and apologetic) had to call the Eyeglass World's insurance department 4 times to try to fix the issues we were having. When she made each call she spoke to a different person, and each time they couldn't find the Mount Dora location on file, as if the location didn't exist as part of Eyeglass World. Each person suggested she do something different to fix my issue. The amounts listed as my responsibility did not match my insurance benefits, thus overcharging me hundreds of dollars. The Eyeglass World itemized bill showed that my insurance was only paying $45 for the lenses on my first pair (daily glasses) and $180 for my second pair (sunglasses). I have benefits for two pairs of glasses with the exact same benefit and out-of-pocket for each pair, so why would they say my insurance will only pay $45 on one and $180 on the other? In addition, if I paid that today, it would have cost me $515 for lenses alone. My insurance benefits state I have a $20 copay for lenses. I can understand paying out-of-pocket for extras not covered by insurance, but still, $515 is ridiculous. If uninsured people can get two pair for $200, why would someone with insurance have to pay way more? This issue was still not fixed. I left there with no glasses and no order for glasses. Two hours of my time wasted.
0 stars for Dale. I called before coming out to check and see if they take sunshine for my daughters eye, I spoke to dale and he confirmed "yeah, we should take them, do our online appointment and come in" then I confirm in person with him when I get there. Skip to 10 minutes later and finally someone intelligent looks and says "we do not take sunshine health"
That would've been great to know as my daughter's eye is bothering her and now I have to wait for another eye doctor.

Great service! My first time here, definitely recommend and returning. Same day service as our son lost his glasses, they made sure we got his glasses today! Thank you so much everyone was so kind and helpful.
Very disappointed in my service. I was told because I have insurance I don't Qualify for the 2 pair special.
So basically I am being punished for having insurance.

This isn't the first time I had an issue with this store 2 years ago one of the staff members was very rude
When I brought it to the attention of the manager basically they swept it under the rug.
I thought I would give them another try wow was I wrong.
If I could give zero stars I would I booked an appointment online. I left work early and got there then they said they canceled my appointment and someone else now had my appointment. I don't even know how this stuff happens I asked if there was anyway that they can get me in anyway seeing as I was 20 minutes early but they wouldn't even try to work with me Which once again makes no sense I was there early had an appointment booked and still nothing.
