I came in here because I was waiting on an uber and realized I needed to have my sunglasses adjusted because they had been stretched out. The girls in here were so kind and took care of me right away. Diana and Elizabeth are the best! They have such a great selection of glasses here, but I must say, the customer service is superb. This is so important in this day and age where it's been lost in so many ways. You never forget how people make you feel and I will definitely be back for any future needs because of these two special girls.
I wish I could give them 10 stars! The level of professionalism and customer service was outstanding. The optometrist, the manager, and the front desk staff were all excellent. I felt incredibly well taken care of from the very first call to schedule my appointment until the moment I left. They also have a great variety of modern, beautiful frames to choose from.
I had the worst experience ever in this place, they tried to force an upgrade for my child lenses and when I said not thanks they refused to give her any glasses. I now have to take another day off work and look for another doctor. If you have small kids DON'T GO HERE THEY ACT VEEERY SHADY! I already reported them with the insurance company I hope they get delisted off their in-network locations.
I phoned the day before and inquired about the prices for an exam and 2 pair eyeglasses and I rarely use vision coverage. I was told I could get an exam for $60. and the eyeglasses for about $100. and two pair for 200. When I arrived, I mentioned again I dont think I'll be using insurance. She said she doesn't know prices nor show glasses on display. She was just doing clerical work and answering phones. There were customers waiting for the other person and it was moving slowly. Later she was showing showing me glasses and seemed very rude, seemed to be talking fast like a sales pitch.When I tried asking anything ,I could hardly get a word in until she called a previous customer to her desk. I didnt even get any prices or information I tried to ask. It was later she charged me $300. for one pair. If the other pair turned out to be payed by my vision Plan. I think the timing was deceptive. Seems the add on fees they billed the insurance for, were charged on the other pair that I wasn't even quoted a price initially. So I didn't know the base charge nor the add on charges. And I wasn't aware nor heard for quite some time that the base charge was $100. Then I was being told that I had created the delays, seems like the customers could hear it. It should be apparent they over booked, in addition to only one person on staff helping customers. When I was called to see the doctor, there was a routine mention about cataracts. I was expressing I could hardly read close up, couldn't read a pill label or similar, and my prescription is two years old. Then when informed my new prescription isn't much difference, I became concerned. Then I noticed she was rude raised her voice, seemed excited, and gesturing. This was before she informed me it was due to the cataracts. I would have been relieved if she just explained it before all that. Isn't it usual for doctors to explain a request.
This location is the absolutely worst in customer service and bullying into purchasing items you absolutely do not need. Laureen is the worst. Worst attitude ever. Most of the patients are Medicaid and Medicare recipients, so they probably don't get paid much. For them to get paid, they create this bogus law that say that children under 18 years of age need polycarbonate glasses, which cost $35, for their safety. They said that the lense can shatter and it's a liability issue. Absolutely not. I have worn glasses for the past 21 years, and half of that was with plastic lenses. The cheap frames broke, and my lenses, which were plastic, never did. So, to extract that $35 bucks, they create this law to force patients to pay for the downfall of medicaid cheap payouts.
As a result, they refused to provide the frames and lenses if I didn't pay for polycarbonate. All they provided was the prescription. I will have no problem using it at Vision Works and pay the entire price for the quality frame.
Our appointment was at 10:45 am and we didn't get to see the doctor until 11:49 am. Do you want quality service? Do not come here. But if you would rather be bullied into purchasing an item to fatten their coffers, then you can use their services.
They also have many people come in for an appointment, and they don't have many seats in the waiting area for them to sit. That's why I prefer the bigger brand stores. Little boutiques are not it for me.
