I just went for an eye exam for my two children. The indian lady at the front desk charged me the exam copayment and 30 dollars additional. When I asked about the charge, she said the 30 extra dollars were for a "MANDATORY" exam to be done without explaining, informing or asking my permission to do it on my children. She said "that additional exam" was mandatory at that office by the doctor. That exam she charged me for was optional according to my kids' insurance. Then, she said they cannot see my kids without it. What a shame!!!! This whole situation happened in front of other patients and my children. As a health provided I can assure you there is no privacy or basic respectful customer services in this place. I requested a refund and then, she finally said she will charge me 25 for each kid because of the cancellation. Really????? After embarrassed me in front of people and my kids, she offers me to see them without the "mandatory exam"?!?? So, you were just pushing me to pay for something not "mandatory" that end up being optional??? My best advice: RUN AWAY FROM THIS MONEY MOTIVATED OFFICE AND POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE PEOPLE.

Absolutely love going every year to Alafaya Vision Center for my eye exam! The staff is nice and sweet and everything is clean and maintained. Dr Virani is the best! She is very insightful and welcoming and always remembers you! I highly recommend going for your next eye exam!

Dr Virani and her staff are amazing, I have seen both doctors in the past. Dr Runda very patience and answers all your questions. Dr Virani very knowledgeable! Ms Mina in the office excellent at getting you the best contacts pricing. No long waiting. Just remember if you dilate eyes you have to wait for that process and for doc to recheck your eyes.

I had a great experience with this eye doctor. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the doctor was very patient, knowledgeable, and thorough during the exam. Everything was explained clearly, and I never felt rushed. I truly felt cared for and confident in the treatment plan. Highly recommend!

Super friendly staff!!!! They were very welcoming form when I entered the establishment. Doctor Runda was extremely knowledgeable and very kind. Definitely made me feel at ease and answered all my questions and concerns. This is why I love coming here.

I've been a patient at this location for several years, and the doctor himself comes across as kind and attentive during the exam. However, the overall office experience has consistently felt impersonal. The staff interactions feel very transactional -- polite, but disengaged -- and it creates the impression that patient care isn't the priority. The wait times are also excessively long for scheduled appointments, which has happened more than once. Another concern is the transition to LensCrafters after the exam. The hand-off feels very sales-driven rather than optional, and there is subtle pressure to purchase glasses immediately. The pricing is high compared to other retailers, and the turnaround time (nearly two weeks) doesn't justify the cost. I appreciate the doctor's bedside manner, but the office culture and workflow make the visit less comfortable than it should be.

Had the best experience at Alafaya Vision Center. The staff was kind, helpful, and very accommodating as a first time contact lense user. I was very pleased and would recommend to anyone looking for a great experience at the optometrist!
