My son and I made our first visit yesterday afternoon, and WOW! Mr Mark has left us with such a positive first impression. We waited only a few minutes to be called back, as he has a small space located inside the Nemours Optometry clinic. Despite the small space it is so full with character, as every corner and space is both cozy and welcoming to children and their families. As we walked in he encouraged my son to get comfortable and play with the toys laid out as we worked on a small amount of paperwork and breaking down my son's insurance coverage with lenses and frames. Mr. Mark has a large variety of frames available in every color, and he was very thorough and holds a lot of knowledge on the best frames for children. Because of his great knowledge we opted for the Flex frames which aren't available at most optical outlets, so when I say his office is designed for the children I mean it! Once I provided my sons prescription, we then jumped right into trying several different frames, and with my son being on the spectrum I warned Mr Mark, that typically this is the part where my son isn't always cooperative as he doesn't like things too close or touching his face/head. Mr Mark assured me that both Nemours and his office are well experienced with children of support and or special needs. He was very gentle with my son, so much so that my son was cooperative and found the experience enjoyable, in fact he was very curious! Mr mark was fully equipped in his office with different tools, toys, and approaches to keep my son happy and comfortable. This may sound weird but Mr Mark reminded me of Robin Williams and Mr Roger's combined! And I say that as a huge compliment :) Mr Mark is very passionate about this field and you can tell! Thank you for making our first visit so enjoyable. As for pricing I found the cost for everything included to be very affordable even with insurance coverage.

I chose Children's Eyewear Inc. because it was right next to my child's ophthalmologist, but I honestly wish I had taken the prescription somewhere else. When I asked a genuine question about my baby's eye condition, I was met with sarcasm instead of professionalism. As a parent, especially when it comes to your child's vision, you shouldn't feel brushed off for asking questions. It also took over three weeks to get her glasses. On top of that, the pricing felt high. I paid $250 for one pair, and when I asked for a measurement so I could order a more affordable backup pair elsewhere, he wouldn't provide it. He seemed irritated that I wasn't buying a second pair through him. I ended up getting a new measurement somewhere else and found a similar quality frame for much cheaper. Refusing to give a basic measurement over what was basically a $50 lens felt petty. Either way, he wasn't getting my money for a second pair, but now he's also lost a returning customer and any future business. I won't be back.

Our favorite spot for all things glasses for our little guy! Has a huge variety to choose from and really takes the time to find the perfect pair for him. Very fast and efficient. Come back every year for a few new pairs!!

Mr. Mark is an absolute gem in the optometry field. He is incredibly knowledgeable, kind, patient, and precise! He carries a large variety of children's frames that are difficult to find. We drive over an hour to see him and it's well worth it, he is the best in Central Florida. We've visited him for an adjustment when my child's glasses were bent, and he was able to fix them. And after a bad experience with another optician more local to us, Mark was able to remedy the issues caused by our time there as well, with patience and empathy. He provides such a critical service to an under served population. And his adjustments are unmatched - my child swims underwater with his glasses, does gymnastics and sports, and they never move out of place. Mark is an expert in his field, couldn't recommend him more!

Mark is an absolute rockstar!!! We've been bringing my daughter Aaliyah here for a few years and I've not once experienced anything bad. He's caring knowledgeable and patient. He will be my only stop for my daughter's eyewear needs. Thanks Mark!!!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! My 3 year old was comfortable through the entire fitting process!! So many frames & accessories to choose from - he's very knowledgeable so no worries with choosing the right pair for your child. Toys available to play with to ease nerves. He was especially excited to come back the following week to pick up his fresh new glasses ! Mr. Mark, thank you for being so patient and making our boy feel seen! You can definitely tell you love what you do. It was a pleasure having you as his very first optometric technician! You have a customer for life!

Absolutely fantastic experience today. I've had eye issues since I was young, and have been to many many eye doctors to get glasses. This was my first time getting my child glasses at a children's specialty shop. Mark was so kind and thorough and most importantly, patient with my 1.5 year old. He sanitized everything prior to us arriving, so I felt comfortable letting my son play with the toys in the very comfortable office. If you are a parent, you get it. No one wants to let their kids touch the toys at the dr, but they always want to. It was a huge relief knowing they were cleaned thoroughly between patients. I left feeling informed and happy and will recommend this place to everyone I know. He also had a fantastic selection of baby and children's frames. Thank you Mark!!
