Well. I tried to schedule an apot. in this office comming there in person today morning,however an upfront employee told me that "they" the Retine institute don't treat inflammations in eyes. They treat only "something deep" in eyes. She turn away of me even didn't offer another doctor. Only when I asked if she knew doctors who treat this condition she gave me a list of" referrals" but non of them work with my insurance. I called to another doctor' office and schedule there. The upfront lady was surprised as me when I told her the story how this particular office kicked me out when I really needed help. So I wouldn't recommend this Ophthalmologist Elia Christ as this office. Thanks. Olga.

I go to his Lady Lake office. He is a super Dr. Very caring, professional, explains things and has time to talk to you when he needs to. He is the best . He saved my eye site when I had a macular pucker and I had to have surgery. God bless him.

He is the only specialist that was able to explain to me why my retina and vision are the way they are. He even estimated my exact gestational age of premature birth, and the domino effect the aforementioned has on my sight. Very caring and forthright. I cannot thank him enough for finally giving me the proper and correct diagnosis.

Dr Elias Mavrofrides, is a 5 stars retina surgeon, I had ERM surgery with him and I had good improvement to my vision and I highly recommend him!

Dr. Mavrofrides has been my retina doctor for over 5 years. I have an uncommon condition which he easily diagnosed. He always takes time to answer my questions and discuss different treatment options. I travel to his Lake Mary office which has an excellent friendly staff. Central Florida is lucky to have such a fine retina specialist!

Horrible experience. This man has a short temper. He was completely unprofessional. I would have just let it go but he continued his insult by offering an insincere apology then sending an offensive letter stating we were hostile even though he was the one yelling and insulting us. How dare you! Get some help for your anger sir. You and your staff were completely out of line.
