Orlando Ophthalmology Surgery

I do not recommend this place at all to begin parking is a complete hassle, staff is mediocre at best when you bring the issue up their answers are "we do not own this building " like what does have to do with it you are open for business to serve a whole lot of people and you do not have the infrastructure to have them park nearby. i Came here 2 times and both times I was aggravated by the parking situation and then the wait time for the procedure as well I was told the first time I was going to be out by 9:30am for a check in time of 8 o'clock came completely unprepared thinking i will be at work by 10am. I left the facility around 11 am for a 1 minute glaucoma procedure. Completely unacceptable! If you are going to have surgery and your primary care doctor referred you to an ophthalmologist that performs surgery in this location I would definitely recommend to research with other doctors. I will not come back here.

The staff are very kind and competent. Very little wait time, I checked in and within a few minutes I was taken into prep. The nursing staff and anesthesiologist are amazing. Dr Perez is an extremely competent surgeon. I felt very safe in his care. I've been there for 3 surgeries, and I have one more. Parking is a little challenging, but from what I understand, a new facility will be built.

I was a bit concerned due to the negative Google reviews I saw. But my experience was great so I'm not sure why some seem to have had a bad experience. I had two cataract lens replacements with laser for astigmatism correction. They contacted me just as I was told to set up the appointment time. Check in was easy and the waiting area and restrooms were clean and comfortable. But the real surprise for me was the nursing and anesthesia staff once I was brought in for prep. They were amazing! All very friendly and professional and seemed to have very well practiced procedures for the prep and operations. They prep a number of (just guessing 6-8) people in a batch and never did I see any confusion or "oops" moment. I felt very comfortable in their care and would recommend them anytime. I could see parking might get tight but we had spots available both trips.

The experience in this Oph surgery center was excellent. The nurses staff has a good care for the patient since you enter inside, anesthesia nurse etc. Very smooth process of the surgery. Some names Michelle, Yvette,Abbey and Sonia who took my vein that are very difficult. Recommended 100%

I was ready to cancel my appt after reading these reviews but I am glad I didn't. I arrived at 6 am for my 8:30 am surgery. The front receptionist was not warm and fuzzy but he was knowledgeable and efficient and bilingual! Plus he was very professional. I was called back after waiting only 5 minutes. My nurse was wonderful. The prep went fast and I was wheeled to the laser room within 20 minutes. I was heading back home by 7:30am. The entire staff was friendly and efficient. Yes I would recommend this surgery center.

If you are looking for doctors that you can trust your family and friends with, you need to check out this practice. I went with a different practice for my 1st cataract surgery and it was awful. When I came out of that surgery, my vision was so bad, I regretted ever having cataract surgery in the first place. That surgeon never did a post-op exam on me to check his work. (He left that to my regular eye doctor.) I was never given any hope of correcting the problems from that surgery. When it was time for my left eye, I did a lot more research and thankfully, I found Orlando Ophthalmology Surgery Center. The info I found on their website was clear and I could tell, these people were very thorough. You had to submit your new patient forms, with your patient history, before you could confirm your first appointment. On my first visit with Dr. Brian Den Beste, I got a clear explanation of the treatment they would suggest for me and I felt totally confident that I was making the right choice this time. In my case, the exam showed that the shape of my eye might require some special attention, so laser surgery would not be the best way to proceed. Dr. Kyle Den Beste did the surgery and it turned out that my eye was complicated, but everything went very well. The outcome is amazing! The surgeon has followed my recovery closely, doing 3 exams already and a 4th is scheduled in 2 weeks. I mentioned the problems that I was having with the first eye to them and they agreed to look at it. They saw some scar tissue and offered to do a procedure that could reduce the blurriness and improve my vision. It took 2-3 minutes and one day later, I could already tell that it was better than before. The entire practice, including the reception staff, the medical team, their phone prep team, pre-op, follow-up, and phone follow-up calls are all very thorough. I am thrilled that I went with Orlando Ophthalmology Surgery Center.

Cataract surgery. 8/29/25, second procedure. Didn't care for my nurse or anesthesiologist. First procedure was wonderful.
