I have been attending the Turkey Lake location for the past few years and Dr Nowell and the staff have been very attentive, thorough and take time to explain all findings and to make recommendations. I have never had to wait long to be seen and they are all very professional and friendly, I highly recommend this office. I was diagnosed with an eye complication and Dr Nowell immediately referred me to a specialist and sent my records ahead of time. I was seen within a few days and I am now undergoing treatment thanks to his diligence

Dr John Nowell is a great doctor, and the office on Sand Lake Rd is a great place to schedule appointment with. Doctor had a great diagnostic approach, listens to the patient and gives recommendation in a manner which is easy to understand for the patient. We were out of state, on vacation, and had an urgent medical problem. We were able to schedule urgent appointment to be seen. As we didn't have a car being out of town, we were using Uber, came 45 minutes earlier, but the staff in the office made every effort for us to be seen sooner. Everybody was very friendly and helpful. We really appreciated that we were able to get help when we needed. Thank you!

I been having some issues with my eye. I was getting concerned with the symptoms that I was experiencing. I called this morning to schedule an emergency appointment and was seen today. The receptionist, office assistant, technicians and Dr. Marx were all phenomenal, caring, professional and informative. Great experience overall. I highly recommend this place.

I have been attending the same place without any problems; however, a few days ago I had an appointment which I confirmed through their automated system. To my surprise, when I arrived, they told me that my appointment was canceled and that they didn't even know why. The woman asked if I had confirmed the appointment, and I showed her the message with the confirmation. They asked me to wait while they checked with the doctor, and the response from the entire medical team was simply that they would not see me and there was nothing to be done--completely lacking empathy and without caring that the error was on their part. There was never an apology or any attempt to resolve the situation, just "Your appointment is canceled; you will have to reschedule because no one else can see you." It was unfair and inconsiderate treatment.

This is a fantastic eye care office. I have been a patient there for years. Mostly routine stuff. Never disappointed. Dr Nowell has built a very fine staff. Very friendly. Nice and smooth.
Turned out at the last visit I had an acute urgency. They bent over backwards, after hours, to make sure that it was properly taken care of the very next day by the ophthalmologist. Likely saved me from some serious eye damage. The whole team is very professional, knowledgeable, and the customer service is beyond to compare. I highly recommend this eye care office.
