The front desk/office folks are always nice, very friendly. All of the medical staff seem knowledgeable, they are very efficient, and very friendly too. The staff all work together as a team. My wife was at home with some bleeding after her knee replacement. The entire staff moved me thru my appointment with such great efficiency to get me thru so I could drive home and pick her up to meet with her surgeon....his windows of opportunity was tight due to other surgeries.....the staff at retina made it possible fir me to recieve my exam and arrive on time for my wife's unexpected Dr. visit. Now, last but not least....Dr. John Meyer has been OUTSTANDING in his care for my eye over the last 8 or 9 months. I have complete trust in him and his knowledge. Fantastic Eye Specialist. Dr Gupta has been wonderful. He always listened carefully and gave a detailed explanation on his diagnosis and procedures. His picture should be in the dictionary under the word Excellence! Staff is first class.

This visit was no different from all the other ones with Dr. Gupta. We've been bringing Daddy (Tommy Sipper) for Eye Injections for 13 years. Today was his. 95th trip and 121at injection. We are praying, believing, that DADDY will be a candidate for the new Gene Cell Study that is supposed to come out soon. Dr. Gupta is Absolutely The BEST!!! He's so knowledgeable and compassionate. He's become a part of our family. We love and appreciate him so much. Amber was Dr. Gupta's assistant today and she's really good.

The 3 hour wait did seem excessive, additional waiting area is need. However, the care for my husband was excellent, professional and respectful. I will bring a tablet for entertainment. Parking could be a problem. Surprisingly chairs were comfortable. Dr. Meyer was informative, discussed options and a answered questions.

Dr. Meyer has been wonderful, he has taken great care of me. When you have to get a needle shot in the eyeball, that's really important!! I trust him fully to provide the best care.

Dr. John Myers is an excellent surgeon and I am grateful he is my doctor. We are very fortunate he is located in the Pensacola area. He saved my sight. Every staff person at Retina Specialty Institute and at Andrews Surgery Center are patient focused and focused on successful patient outcomes. Thank you

One star for the man and woman that did my scans and IV. But ZERO for the rest of them. I have worn glasses since I was about 4 years old and I have NEVER been treated so horribly. I felt like I was at the cattle call being rushed into having a shot in my eye upon JUST learning that I had the devastating diagnosis of Macular Degeneration. Dr. Peters rattled off a lot of things.... and said my ONLY option was to get that shot IMMEDIATELY. I agreed to it, but was BARELY told what was going to happen. While they were setting things up and my head was spinning, the girl was rattling off a bunch of stuff and I could not comprehend half of it. The next thing I know she is pouring Betadine in my eye which burns like fire. He comes in and does the shot, with almost no interaction with me. I do remember him saying I needed to do it 3 times, one a month..And right before the actual shot they poured MORE betadine in my eye. I paid 465 dollars for a horrible experience there and will NEVER go back. I will also never have that procedure again. If I go blind they can pat themselves on the back that they accomplished their goal of scaring me to death. But nobody bullies me more than once. My exam was on 12/18/2025.

I love Dr Gupta. He has been taking care of me and my eye issues for years. He is very professional but shows he cares and is concerned at ever appointment. His staff is always kind and willing to answer your questions and explain what your vision is and normal ranges of sight and pressure issues. Everyone in the office work in unison to give the best care to each and every patient. After seeing reviews complaining about the 3 hour office wait, please understand that you are seeing 3 different professionals in that 3 hours. 1 who gives drops for dialation, pain and/or numbing drops.Has to wait for the drops to take effect. Checks the pressure in your eyes and gives the eye exam. Next, you go have specialized exray/ films that take eye dialation / time to process. Then you see a specialist, who may have additional wait time for additional needed drops, time to analyze all testing performed that day and decides the necessary procedure which can include eye shots. All of this is very specific, individualized, time consuming procedures that may be different for every patient. I'm sure you want them to take whatever time is necessary for your indidualized eye needs.
