Visionworks Cordova Mall

I am 65 years old and have been a patient at Visionworks in Cordova Mall for over 30 years. I have never experienced anything like what happened to me today (02/27). I went in for a routine eye exam and provided my Blue Cross Blue Shield, Medicare, and federal government insurance (Davidson) which they have never asked me for before. I specifically declined any additional services beyond the standard eye exam and dilation. I was very clear about that. During my exam, Dr. Starr Rostankovaki told me I had no medical issues with my eyes and no cataracts. However, when I went to the front desk afterward, a staff member named Mozzell told me that I did have cataracts , which directly contradicts what the doctor told me in the exam room. That was alarming and confusing. I later found out that my insurance policies were billed, including charges related to the use of a machine that I explicitly declined. I did not consent to additional testing, yet my Medicare and Blue Cross Blue Shield were charged. As a senior citizen, this is extremely concerning. I feel misled and taken advantage of. After being a loyal patient for three decades, I am very disappointed in how this was handled. Patients deserve honesty, transparency, and clear communication especially when it comes to their health and insurance billing. I am requesting that management review this matter immediately and provide clarification regarding the conflicting diagnosis and the charges submitted to my insurance.

The staff members at VisionWorks are the absolute best. The communication prior to the appointment was stellar, the appointment went very well, the physician is so friendly and informative and the staff are just wonderful. I would recommend them to anyone needing glasses. Thanks for all you do.

I had a great visit as a new patient at Visionworks! The staff was fast, friendly, and made the whole experience smooth and comfortable. Everyone was helpful and professional from start to finish. Highly recommend this team for their excellent service and welcoming atmosphere!

Everyone at Visionworks was very helpful, polite, patient and very knowledgeable. I received a notification that my glasses were ready and actually could follow the steps in completion on their Website. My finished Glasses were ready a lot faster than I thought and of great quality. Definitely recommend Visionworks

Dr. Star and her staff are truly professional, experts in their craft, and a pleasure to be around!! Also the Visionworks technicians make it really easy to pick the best frames and lenses for your needs. It's the only place I trust for my vision care! Five stars plus!!!

The latest technology getting your eyes examined or if you have your own prescription they have the best frame selection and work with insurance, if you have it. The people that work there have been there for years and it's just a great place for your eye care needs. I've been to all of them and I'm very demanding when it comes to good customer service. It's also by the food court in the mall and a great way to spend an afternoon.

Please save yourself time and money... do not go here.. Tracy has to customer service in any way shape or form.. and Rachel, "the manager" the same.. I have been getting glasses here for about 4 years.. the eye doctor is amazing ans I wish she was some where else because I will never go to the establishment again.. my lens are damaged.. Tracy tells me, I should of bought a second pair.. when I speak to the "manager" she informs me that it will be an extra 116 for me to the replace the lens... aftwr I have already spent close to 475 dollars with insurance .. I told them they are mistaken and need to research this a little more.. mind you this is the 3rd time I am having to reach out to them this year to get my glasses right... then I am told sorry you didn't purchase the warranty.. what warranty??!! No warranty was ever offered when purchased.. was told by Rachel not her problem.. I am now just under the impression that they are scamming the insurance company and the people purchasing from them. Please save yourself time and money and do not use this company.. still waiting for a call from the district manager.. Will update when that happens..

The doctor is amazing, she found my glaucoma and sent me to a specialist. All the staff is professional, attentive and caring. I highly recommend them.
