Dr Mahootchi is knowledgeable, has excellent skills and even has a great bedside manner! Cataract surgery for my 80 yr old husband produced wonderful results......NO glasses for driving or reading unless super fine print! We did lots of research since he had previous surgeries, including RK and Lasix. My cataract surgeries had been done elsewhere, but as many later develop a "2nd cataract" he successfully performed a capsulotomy which helped me. Just now, I had a drooping eyebrow that had become quite noticeable. First night was a little uncomfortable but I had no bruising as I followed the instructions to the letter. Stitches are out today after 2 weeks and it really looks good!!! My eyebrows are even! Highly recommend Dr Mahootchi!

This office is nothing short of amazing! The staff is highly professional and welcoming , they treat you like family with pure joviality. Emma and Joy are at the front and you check out with Katelynn after your visit. Leann is the surgical counselor who is kind, highly organized and keeps you smiling and has been there over 20 years. Juan prepares your visit for the doctor; he is efficient, understanding , caring and hilarious. Bella was professional, patient and kind. I met with Dr. Mahootchi and I must say he is one of the best doctors I've ever met in a general sense, not just ophthalmology! He is encompassing and genuinely seeks resolution for his patients. As a doctor: he is assessing not only your eyes, he is looking at vast amount of the picture. I was newly diagnosed with posterior vitreous detachment by a different ophthalmologist, which is normally age-related gradual process but mine was 80%detached. I am severely near-sighted so I'm at a high risk for retinal detachment. With the previous doctor, I received very little information and could barely ask questions, I felt I was annoying with one small question. Dr. Mahootchi puts you at ease, educates you, answers questions and welcomes you to notify them if problems. His team provides written information and operate a very efficient office. Dr. Mahootchi even ordered me a ct scan because he was concerned that my headaches might stem from my sinuses! I'm completely blown away and he gave me relief that we are trying to solve it. I have been in the medical field for years working with doctors and his expertise, bedside manner and genuine caring nature is outstanding. For young kids out there: never bully a smart kid in school, that could be your surgeon or doctor saving your life later on. Thank you so much to the Eye Clinic of Florida! Very frightening experience! I had mentioned to the woman that schedules the surgeries that I was very hypoglycemic.... I guess she forgot to record that because I had to repeat myself as I was waiting to go in for my actual surgery. No one took me serious I was incredibly hungry became anxious and nervous and had an anxiety attack as I went in to lie down on the surgical table ... which was almost impossible for me to do at that point! I was given extra anesthesia to get thru. The next morning at my follow-up Dr Matoochi said I bought it all on myself! My primary doctor and my new eye doctor said that is not possible! In the same breath he is telling me how he is diabetic... Then how could he possibly not know the dangers of low blood sugar? They actually without my approval scheduled me to see the optician to be examined for new glasses when my 2nd eye... cataract hadn't been removed ! On top of that my insurance is not covered by their optical department! I went somewhere else to have the cataract removed from my second eye and their procedures where a thousand times more advanced than my experience at The Eye Clinic. There's staff seems like they did not truly care about their patients. 5 People were scheduled for the same appointment time! As I said waiting for my surgery one of the technicians at the desk commented " It's still morning and already he's done 23 surgeries" that seemed very inappropriate to me and possibly all they are looking at dollar $$$ signs! My new eye doctor prescribed 3 different types of eye drops to be used before & after surgery!! Matoochi prescribed just one eye drop! Up to this morning they are still sending me texts reminders to follow up with another appointment!!! What a coincidence that they are not BBB accredited!

The surgeries that I had were pain free. My vision is the best that I have had since I got glasses when I was 10 years old. It's so nice to wake up in the morning and being able to see! Dr Mahootchi was great and vey professional before and afterwards. I have recommended him to several people that I know.

Dr mahoochi corrected my cataract and my glaucoma issues. I no longer need daily eye drops or glasses! He and his staff are very professional and pleasant. I highly recommend the "eye clinic of Florida" for all your vision needs.

For over 10 days I was having severe redness, itching, tearing, and pain, and what felt like gravel in my eyes. I'd previously been diagnosed with Dry Eye disease. My long-time opthamologist (associated with a large Tarpon Springs FL practice diagnosed me. I had corneal implant surgery (cataracts) last September. My problems began a few months after a 3-month course of eye drops, where I spent over $700 on meds with great insurance. I saw my doctor this month. My eye pressure was up. She changed my glaucoma (open angle) med I've been on for years. The new med was 2x pd versus once. A little over a month later all of my problems began. I called a few times complaining thinking it was a med she put me on for dry eyes. I loved it but I now know that wasn't causing my problems. At no time did the doctor's office care to make a FU appt for me, sticking to a 6-mo schedule. Getting them to return my calls in the same day was difficult. It was time for a 2nd opinion so I searched the internet. This is when I found Dr. Mahootchi, who is a little over an hour away. I explained what was happening. They rearranged a few things and would see me early the next day. I was with him for no more than 11/2 minutes when he found the problem. I was allergic to the new glaucoma med and my eye pressure was getting dangerously high again. He did a complete eye exam. He found both corneal implants were cloudy. (previous Dr. said one. She decided to do YAG laser surgery on it in 6 months.) He'll be doing YAG on both eyes in Feb. He prescribed 1 eye medication for glaucoma, 1 drop every morning ... $10.00 for a 3 month supply, provided in one bottle, by a pharmacy a block from his office. I saw him 4 days ago and the redness is 75% gone, no more pain, itching or tearing, Dr. Mahootchi has a great sense of humor, and had me laughing more than once. He answered all my questions, and is clearly compassionate. His staff was wonderful. He IS my go-to guy for all things related to my eyes. My husband will be switching over soon. Yes, this was long-winded but all of it needed to be said.

Extremely disappointing! Experienced pain for up to 3 weeks after cataract surgery!! I was informed by another doctor that I was not given the correct amount/type of eye drops! Procedure was rushed! Eye irritated, feels like there are particles floating around! Pain everyday! New Doctor....Second eye, day after surgery feels like the eye is healed already! The Eye Clinic is very questionable with lack of proper procedures!

I was having red swollen eyes and had been to the walk in clinic 2 weeks ago prior so it came back again so I called the Eye Clinic. The whole experience from the phone call was top notch. If I could rate it higher I would have. Dr.Mahootchi was so caring and kind and diagnosed my condition. Thank you all from the phone call to the doctor.
