Harron Eye Care

Had a first time visit today for my 10 yo son. Henry was great, funny and so easy going. Dr Harron was so patient and helpful. Stephanie helped with the checkout and gave me a lot of good information. I was in and out for a whole new exam and buying glasses in only 1 hour. SO thrilled I found them :)

This place was the first vision place I have been to since moving to Georgia in which I was referred to by the pediatric office where my sons go. The staff was very dry and not too welcoming; especially, the much older vision associate. The communication between them was not cohesive to say the least because I made an over the phone appointment and was not informed of ALL information that I needed to bring with me. Even after they realized the discrepancy on their behalf due to a staff member who did not relay all details of insurance mandates, they still said they needed the particular information that I knew nothing about until the day of the appointment. I even asked if my son could still be seen or could I make a new appointment? They refused and said NO. I have never been to any doctor's office that said you could not even make an appointment until their system had satisfactory with the given insurance. It really was an easy fix or something that could be brought back or given over the phone. I definitely made my grievance known to the staff before I left. The professionalism is terrible and the way they do business is even worse. If you're looking for a vision place, BYPASS THIS ONE!

Had a basic quickie eye exam to get an updated glasses prescription. Had asked pricing for medicare recipients before making appointment and paid what they asked at time of service. Medicare later paid an additional $112. Thought that was the end of it. Now a full year later I am being billed $141. This is a very poor way to do business and we won't be going back. Don't trust the prices they tell you.

Both my husband and I were seen at this location. Dr. Herron was great. We had issues with our glasses prior to seeing him. He assisted us with frame selections that would best support our transitional lenses. Prior to that we were unable to get full benefits of the Bifocal. We have worn glasses over 10years and no one has ever taken the time to assist and explain to us what we needed. Thank you guys so much for all of your help. :)

I don't have vision insurance. They confirmed that with me when I made the appointments so I don't really understand all the surprise from reviewers about that portion. They tell me how much I can expect to pay if I ask. I purchase my glasses online so I have not dealt much with their sales staff but Henry and both the doctors who run this practice have always been nice, easy to deal with, and pretty fast. I will continue seeing them.

Harron delivered the best eye service in my 25 years wearing progressives. For my exam, Dr. Harron was efficient but thorough.The vision correction for my astigmatism was correct, they got the pupil distance dialed in, and the focal spot for reading was the same for both eyes. The glasses worked right out of the box. No re-exam, no remanufacture. Impressive and quite surprising.

If you think the service is lackluster, wait until you see how poorly they coordinate with your insurance company. Our appointment was in December and when we made the appointment, we didn't think to say we had vision insurance and they didn't ask. At the time of service, we told them we had insurance but since we didn't tell them beforehand, they made us file the claim ourselves. We paid out of pocket that day, and the insurance reimbursement went to Harron instead of us directly. Instead of sending us the full amount of the insurance company's payment, Herron sent us a check for $10.08, the amount Harron marked down their services as part of the agreement with Anthem. Harron had no clue what happened or what was needed to make it right. You couldn't pay me enough to do business with these people again.

I took my kids to Harron Eye Care for an eye exam and the care we received was excellent. The staff was super friendly and helpful, we were seen very promptly, and Dr. Harron was great. He explained things wonderfully and was great with my children. I will definitely be returning for our family's eye care needs.
