Clarkson Eyecare

I had a great experience at this location and Reema Gosalia O.D. was through and was in and out quickly. The entire staff was warm and friendly! They have a large selection of stylish frames to pick from at reasonable prices.

Do NOT trust your eyecare to Clarkson. Unfortunately, 1 star is the lowest I can rate this terrible business. I saw a Dr at the Buckhead/Chastain office on 5/3/21 after experiencing floaters in my left eye. It was determined the retina had not detached. I was happy with that interaction. I was scheduled for a follow up exam 9 am 5/17/21 at that same office to determine if there were further changes and it would include a new RX for glasses. 5/17/21 9 am, I show up and the office was closed, no personnel and the shelves emptied along with a nebulous sign in the door stating this office is closing in May and is merging with the Smyrna office. While I was standing there on the phone with Clarkson to determine what was going on, 2 other people arrived, also with appointments for that morning, at that location; also not notified of the closure of the location. We were all very angry and frustrated to be treated with such disrespect and inconsideration. I was told by Clarkson at that time that the office was closed, effective that day and that all patients with appointments SHOULD have been notified. I told the person, clearly that did not happen and I wanted to speak with someone in authority about the situation. I spoke with the manager of the Smyrna office and voiced my agitation over the situation and was promised a district manager would call me later that day. That did not happen, so I called again asking to speak with someone in authority and got Vickie (y)? who said she was a supervisor. At first, she told me that all patients had been notified of the location's closure. I told her obviously, that did not happen as not just I, but two other people were inconvenienced by not being informed as they showed up as I was at the front door of the clearly closed location that very morning. I told her I was very concerned about trusting Clarkson with my eyecare after being treated this way and when I told her I Googled Ophthalmologist Buckhead, Clarkson came up and I CHOSE Clarkson based on the Google results, her response was to state that Clarkson wasn't an Ophthalmologist. I couldn't believe it. Her reaction was to argue with me. It is now 5/18/21 and no one has called me in response to the situation or to reschedule another exam at any other Clarkson location. I can only deduce that Clarkson cares ZERO about me as a person and my eyesight. Do yourself a favor and RUN to ANY OTHER Optometrist or Ophthalmologist in Atlanta than Clarkson.

What a wonderful staff! They made me feel like family. I was a bit nervous and had many questions...trying desperately to get the right progressive lens. Taylor, Tania, Tara and Preston had such patience with me. Extremely knowledgeable and professional, an awesome team all around. But most of all, I remember how they made me feel ~ they have won me over as a customer for life! See you guys next year!

From the walked through the door I was immediately comfortable. It was clean and they had mask, gloves, and sanitizer readily available. I was immediately greeted and no more than 5 minutes later I was signed in, paperwork completed and ready to be seen. The young lady who performed my pre-screening was EXCELLENT. Seen the optometrist, which she was very nice and knowledgeable, got my results and proceeded to pick out frames. Thank you all. Pleasant experience, will most definitely refer anyone looking to get new glasses

Eye doctor was very friendly, staff was easy to work with, they definitely had customer health in mind during covid. They wiped down all instrument surfaces, provided sanitizer, gloves, masks, and temp checks. If that much care is put into making sure patients and staff are safe I think it's a good reflection of how they handle their business.

The doctor was great and the staff was nice as well on the day of my exam. However when it was time for me to get a quote on a couple pair of glasses that I had selected it was impossible. The staff would place me on hold and then come back and explain how they were short staffed and someone would call me back, they never did, this happen several times. Last week I called and spoke to DESIRE asking for the quotes. She did everything possible not to take the time to provide me the quotes, giving excuses before even pulling up my account. When she finally did she saw there were about 3 glasses to give me a price on and said she would call me back with the quotes that day. Never heard from her. Called back today first thing and was told I'd have to hold because they're short staffed and I agreed to hold forever because I knew I would never receive a call back at this point. Low and behold DESIRE picks up and says "I think it was me you spoke to last week", I asked her name and confirmed it was. DESIRE then went on tell say all together your glasses will be around (insert some guesstimation). I explained that's not acceptable because I want the exact prices of each pair so I can make a decision and that she had since last week to look it up and see anyway since she never called me back with the info like she said she would. DESIRE then told me I'd have to come in then and at that point continued to try and talk over me to the point I addressed it. I told her to not be unprofessional and that I would be calling back up there to speak with her manager or the doctor as well as leaving a review to which she said I threatened her. I'm actually shocked in 2021 I encountered a Karen type accusation and behavior. It's 2021 and that's no longer going to fly, lying and pretending you're in danger or been threatened, we you haven't, that number is up. Worst customer service I've experienced in a long time. But out of all of it DESIRE'S EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOR took the cake.

Used this eyecare provider back in 2022 for one visit, I am constantly spammed with calls , emails, texts of needing an eye exam and it's been 2 years. I've changed providers but the advertising and follow ups are too much.

I've gone here for three years now, and while the doctor and techs that have done the eye examining have been top notch, this is the second year in a row that my new eyeglasses have taken an inordinate amount of time to get ready. This year, the frames but not the order/prescription info were sent to the lab. Not sure how this wasn't flagged immediately (how does the lab not immediately know there's an issue to look into when they get a frame without a corresponding prescription order?). Clarkston didn't seem to even know this was going on until I called late last week (> two weeks after my visit) to see what was going on since they said 5-7 business days. Then, after assuring me the order would be expedited, I didn't hear anything. I called yesterday morning to check in, and they indicated some boxes had come in but the person who processes the new specs hadn't gotten a chance to open them and that (hopeful my pair were among the ones received) they would later on and give me a call if my pair was ready. Didn't hear from them yesterday or all day today. It's frustrating that the actual eye care here is so great, but the process of getting new glasses has gone off the rails twice in a row now.
