Dr. James Hays

Dr Hays is great, the problem is that he works out of an older building in Atlanta, and the air conditioner keeps breaking down. Last time this happened we had a 5 hour delay for surgery. This week THE SAME THING HAPPENED! How many extra hours must we wait today without food and water? Find a new building please. We won't come back here (Mt Vernon Hwy)

I have waited a month to write this review. Mainly to calm down and also to really review how I felt at this appointment. Dr. Hayes did my cataract surgery many years ago. One cataract was for long distance and the other for reading. One of them changed and they started not working together as they had for the last 10 years or so. Anyway I went to see if there was a haze on the lens which sometimes happens. When I arrived the staff did multiple eye test. Apparently Dr Hayes thought I was there to see if my cataracts had grown back. He saw some other concerning issue ( which turned out to be nothing). But here's the kicker. He said " I don't have time for this! I'm a surgeon, I don't do diseases. I've been a surgeon for 40 years and that's what I do. Your cataracts have not grown back". What I should have done is walk out instead I just got quiet. I have never had a doctor so rude and unprofessional! He needs to retire. I have blocked my chart from him and if this review keeps one person from seeing him then it's worth it.
