Not a good doc and he lies. His partner, Burnett, turned a simple cataract removal into a retina detachment where my father totally lost sight in his right eye. Three other surgeries were done by Wilkes afterwards to repair the issue and he would lie to us by saying the surgeries went well. And they didn't. My dad went through pain and suffering for over a year. So no, I wouldn't recommend anyone to go to him. Other opthalmologists are not familiar with Dr. Wilkes or his work. My dad recently went to another doc where they had to laser off his pupil to fit a fake eye in there. All of that from a simple cataract removal. All of the pictures of Dr Burnett have been taken down at his Old National location for fear of getting sued.
