I felt it was important to give my opinion regarding this center. From the moment we walked into the Emory Eye Center, we were treated very well. Ms. Kamala at the front desk was extremely attentive and willing to help. Then we met with Dr. Fischer, a young man (it's a shame I didn't learn his name), very diligent, helpful, and very kind. And finally, Dr. Andrew Fischer, patient, empathetic, kind, and a very good doctor. After seeing several doctors, he told me what my vision problem was and the solution. I'm grateful to everyone, and please continue providing quality service to all your patients. Thank you so much.
I have chronic dry eyes. Took a lot to get referral to go there. Then they made me wait an hour and a half (would have been two hours if I hadn't complained; I asked and they said that's their normal wait time). Finally see doctor and she tells me to use more OTC eye drops more often. SMH
If you have dry eyes, save your time and money and see an optometrist that specializes in dry eyes instead.
Do not go here! The doctor I see in this practice is Dr. Xiaoqin A Lu and she's always running behind 1 to 2 hours. It absolutely makes no sense.
I'm not sure where the source of the problem is....the doctor running late to the office or moving too slow or over booking appointments. Either way, they don't give a rats tail about the patients.
As far as I can tell, they aren't understaffed. The practice has plenty of medical receptionists, plenty of nurses, plenty of technicians and plenty of physicians.
The whole practice comes off like a money making mill. It doesn't matter what time of the day your appointment is, whether it's morning, noon or evening, you'll still be sitting in the waiting room 1 to 2 hours.
And it doesn't stop there. Once you're called into the doctors examination room, that's another 45 minutes to an hour wait before seeing the doctor.
Also, getting an appointment takes 2 to 3 months which is ridiculous.
Please avoid at all costs!
Now I know why this place Rating is poor. Front Desk attitude.. longer wait even after booking the appointment. More than 2 Hours wait after checking inn and still No Dr here..
This is my 3rd visit and I still do not have any new contacts. The latest excuse is that they got delivered to the wrong location. Each time I come, I have to wait at least 30-45 minutes to see the doctor, so unless you are retired and you don't have anything better to do with your day, you are better off finding another practice.
The support staff is super nice and professional but the wait is just not worth it!
I had a first appointment with Dr. Sachin Kedar today. I found him to be professional, with an excellent bedside manner. He took his time with me. He listened intently and answered all my questions. My overall impression of the Emory Eye Clinic is positive. From the initial call to schedule an appointment, to the front office check-in, to the technician and Dr. Kedar's assistant, I highly recommend this doctor and this location.
I'm here with my dad for an 11:20 appointment and after exactly 2 1/2 hours of waiting, we were finally brought in to see the doctor. I have no idea how long we will be waiting here for the doctor but it's already been an obscenely long wait. There is no excuse for this type of delay. They should at least call the patients and let them know they are running late.
My mom had an appointment for her cataract surgery on last February but before the surgery date they just canceled without telling any reason. I got another appointment on may but they canceled it again. Since that time I kept calling them to get another appointment but they transferred the phone to multiple person and no one helped me to another appointment. Now I am going to different hospital for her cataract surgery.
